There are no sci-fi metal moments, no Cardinals twang, no covers, and no straying away from the task at hand. It is a record [...]

Even While Dormant, Ryan Adams Still Releases More Music Than Your Favorite Band For a year when it feels like Ryan Adams has practically been in hiding, when you tally his songs-released total by year's end, he still blows away most active bands. In addition to his "true metal album" Orion , Adams has a double album on deck that he recorded with the Cardinals during the Easy Tiger sessions back in 2007. III/IV will be released on Adams' own Pax-AM Records, though his blog post on the matter contains no actual release date. It does, however, contain this nugget about the thematic content of his [...]

Ryan Adams – Pax-Am Digital Single No. 2 "Allumette" b/w "What Color Is Rain" (Review)

Ryan Adams – Pax-Am Digital Single No. 2 "Allumette" b/w "What Color Is Rain" (Review) It's week #2 of the Pax-Am reboot and we are treated with another digital single from Ryan Adams's archives. This time we get a track that was dropped from early consideration for Cardinology and another track that surfaced a bit as a "foggy" video . The third track is another demo from Cardinology. Side A is the track "Allumette" clocking in at 1:43 and according to the Ryan Adams scholars on the ryanadamsarchive.com site was listed on an early proposed tracklisting for Cardinology . Apparently [...]
