I know this is my little project so I have a highly biased view of the gig that happened on Thursday. It was a great success for a number of reasons. While the venue wasn't packed a good crowd appeared. Many where in attendance to Boyles for the first time to catch a band live. There was an opportunity for new artists such as Dayo and Peadar King to get noticed outside their own communities. It was another gig for the hugely talented Joy Booth and her band to solidify their sound. Van Cleef found many new fans with their [...]

Is this the best poster for a gig ever? I got to check out Land Lovers more in the future. From what I have heard so far they are a great band. Don't forget to save some cents (sense) over the weekend for Thursday 6th Aug and the next 2UIBestow Sessions night! I'm really looking forward to it!

This post is copied from the old blog Mixtape4melfi about an act playing the next Sessions night in Boyles on August 6th. Other acts are Groom, Joy Booth, Peadar King and Van Cleef. This is the 3rd part of a feature called Ruby Tuesday where i plug a new artist and hopefully give a small helping hand to get their music out there! Dayo is a Jazz-Folk influenced Singer-Songwriter with immense talent from the same music stable as John Martyn, Van Morrison and Nick Drake! [...]

'The Nature of Flaws' is the debut album by Peadar King released last July. I am reviewing this album here now because I have this hunger to tell [...]

It's been a long time since I made a mix so here is an Easter Mix. All of these tunes are reflective and thought-provoking on this important religious holiday.
