So, managing to double-post The Magician's (granted, very good) remix of RAC and Penguin Prison 's "Hollywood" just days after Jonny posted it, meant a proper bollocking, a demotion and docking of a weeks pay. Ok, not really, but to get back on the horse I'm crossing my fingers and throw up three other very good remixes of the same song by Cassian , Treasure Fingers and Escort .
The remixes of RAC's first original single "Hollywood", released on Green Label Sound back in May, continue to roll in. Some say that Genghis Khan, in his relentless domination of Asia and its women, fathered something like 1000 children. Impressive, but not for his indefatigability. "I'm not your friend anymore" I heard this song the other day and said to myself: "that voice sounds very familiar." I was very pleased that I could accurately peg the vocals as Penguin Prison's before I actually learned the song title/details. Hollywood is the result of awesome production by RAC (André Allen Anjos & Chris Glover, from my birth town of Portland, Oregon) and the aforementioned PP vocals. After years of remixing the music of other artists, RAC made waves a couple of months ago with the release of his first official song " Hollywood ," which featured the vocals of Penguin Prison 's Chris Glover. Other artists have now taken to remixing RAC's work. Last month, Belgian DJ The Magician remixed the track , and yesterday marked the official release of Felix da Housecat's remix of "Hollywood." The famed DJ turns the track into a groovy six-and-a-half minute banger, one that's primed and ready for the clubs. Check it out below.
