Symbiz Sound is a made up of two brothers, Buddy and Chris who came to the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune and brought the Pepsi Dub Station to its knees (read about their amazing performance here ). The second day at the Pepsi Dub Station was all about partying and doing it hard. The acts featured on the stage ranged from hip-hop to dubstep, but were a little heavier on the reggae and dancehall side, giving fans a great plate to choose from and none of the acts disappointed. The most amazing part of the day was how cohesively all the acts came together to give the stage incredible performances one after the other. The Pepsi Dub Station needed to make a big first impression in Bangalore and they had assembled a talented lineup to do just that. The Pepsi Dub Station on day two of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2012, Pune , featured some experimental, dark, bass music, a whole lot of drum 'n' bass and dubstep and a very special performance by Korean-German duo Symbiz Sound. A couple of weeks ago, we announced a contest for budding DJs to play the Pepsi Dub Station at the upcoming Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune ( tickets ). The contest was open to DJs who play reggae/dancehall, dubstep, TRAP, drum n bass, moombahton, electrohiphop, glitch hop, and live experimental electronica. Day two in the hot sun and the Pepsi Dub Station was humming as usual. A certain sense of confidence filled the air as the Dub Station crew prepared for the day with the ritual of sound checks. The Pepsi Dub Station ( lineup ) at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender is where an influx of styles meet, and the people that run the Dub Station are well aware of it. Sure, you'll get reggae, dub, dubstep and whole lot more in terms of music at the Dub Station, but you'll also get to see some incredible art. NZ Selector is a Russian selector (a reggae/dancehall DJ, who often picks the riddim over which the "voicing" is delivered) who is part of the Pullup.it crew , which plays reggae and dubstep. After two days of dubstep, reggae, drum n bass and more, the final day of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender was steeped in high expectation. There were moments and performances in the past two days which were memorable to say the least but the promise of day three was mouth-watering. The day was set to host a soundclash, a top-class ska performance from The Ska Vengers and lets not forget that at some point the Pepsi Dub Station will play host to a set by Zero! Once again the Pepsi Dub Station at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender was home to many great performances. Friday had more DJ sets (more on that here ) but Saturday was a better mix of DJs and bands. The crowd coming to the Dub Station started to get a feel for the music almost right away and this mood stayed strong through the day. On Friday, the Pepsi Dub Station kicked off the Bacardi NH7 Weekender with some of the meanest bass-heavy acts around. The dub station cuts a symbol of ruin and degradation from afar but its whats on the inside that counts.
