When you write 600 or so music blog posts a year it's sometimes hard to find a way to single one out as something special. Luckily I have another platform or two when I think something is truly deserving. So today's band/song will both appear on Songs:Illinois and be part of this month's upcoming M.A.P. post. Hari and Aino is not a duo, as the name suggests, but a 5-member band with Andrea Dahlkild, with her Debbie Harry-sounding voice, behind the microphone. The music they create definitely belongs to the music-that-makes-you-happy-cat egory. In an uncomplicated and clean way, they step lightly with bright, beautiful melodies. Part like a more pop-sounding Blondie and part like a modern indie pop band. download Confesso que após ouvir o inesquecível 7" da Cloudberry Records que trazia "Ciao Ciao Bomb" e " Wentworth" , minhas expectativas em relação ao primeiro Long Play desta banda sueca foram às alturas. Mas o que se ouve neste Life After Ridge é mais uma releitura branda inspirada nos anos 80.
