As you may already know, we're big fans of Macau-by-way-of-São Paolo trio Turtle Giant . In fact, their All Hidden Places EP was one of our favorite releases from last year. So it probably comes as no surprise that we're incredibly excited for their followup, and "Orange Grape" is the first sign of what we might be able to expect from that album. It's a warm, slow-burning groove with bright piano, a steady rhythm, and open-sky expansiveness. A chugging rhythm and ringing guitar riff open the jam before giving way to a quickly rising melody and soaring vocals. [...]
