First and foremost, I'd like to say thank you to this band for sending me their physical album all the way from Denmark. Though it doesn't really play into how I grade their music, it's nice to know that a band values our opinion enough to send a CD to Is This Revolutionary? headquarters. Perhaps not a mixtape in the strictest sense of the word, but rising star Delilah has released her '2-4am mixtape' of new tracks and its available to stream in full from her Soundcloud. Stand out moments are Joe Goddard's reworking of 'Love You So' and 'Closer', and the dancehall-esque beat of 'Lay By'. Delilah has such a smoky distinctive voice. I was so committed to the last Miike Snow album that, on paper, we were civil partners and you can see the MP3 files are visibly exhausted given how many times they've been played since 2009. Now we all know there's a new album coming in March and as we get closer and closer to the date, the Snow camp are drip-feeding us some of the material, including today's collaborative track with Lyyke Li and last week's track Padding Out. It's so good to have them back!

There's no mistaking the Big Pink's knack for songcraft: their new album, Future This , is chock full of well-crafted hooks and thoughtful chord progressions. It's patient and carefully sculpted, and the enthusiasm of its creators shines clearly on tracks like the gloriously anthemic "Rubbernecking" and the lighter-waving lead single "Hit The Ground (Superman)." There's some variety, of course - the restlessness of "Jump Music" and the album's title track are a nice counterpoint - but mostly Future This stays in its singer-songwriter comfort zone.
