Berlin's Hannes Fischer appeared here before on Mahogany under the pseudonym NAME for his spanking Foster the People remix and through these consistently brilliant remixes, he's become a SoundCloud phenomenon! His record collection is broad with a clear penchant for the urban category based on the two bootlegs below. Firstly taking on Souls of Mischief's most famous ditty for a minimal yet bassy instrumental and secondly with Alicia Key's Rock Wit U which flirts with the vocals in a way that sends shivers down the spine. POW!, in the Encyclopedia of Bands (it's out there, you just have to keep looking) would be filed beneath "sonic assault." "Cyberattack!!" the b-side to the bands two-song Pretend There EP, is a mix between a military call to arms, and the first wave of percussive bombs launched at a cluster of smiling protesters. Four Tet , real name Keiran Hebden, has long been one of Mahogany's favourite music producers. For the last decade Four Tet has been creating some of the most beautiful underground ambient electronica -- fusing influences from jazz, blues and acoustic folk with gritty electronic sounds. His music weaves the crackle and hiss of electronic equipment and sounds that sing like feedback into his beats. DZA and Dom pay homage to "Dead Presidents."

We've been following LA based producer Teebs for a year or so now, and as an artist he is going from strength to strength. Currently riding the wave of his recently released second LP 'Collections 012, Teebs makes stunning glitchy ambient music full of soul and a really human touch. Although his music would be broadly called electronica, there are so many real instruments and percussion sounds laced through his tracks that the results are really warm and seductive -- a rare thing for electronic music. Teebs -- Just The Yellow Bits [...]

POW!! Was the main and most memorable lyric that came out of "Pow", the enormous grime crossover tune way back when in 1996. The 2011 follow up (or cash cow as some branded it) was maybe not quite so groundbreaking or exciting, but catchy nonetheless. Warrior One now steps into the fold, and puts a very modern and refreshing twist on the track. Track is taken from an upcoming EP to be dropped on Black Butter Records, due out November 1st.
