Still basking in the chart-topping glow of latest release "Jack," the fine folks at Dirtybird have built another bomb in the re-release of Kill Frenzy 's wildly popular "Make That Booty Clap," complete with four accompanying remixes. The Belgian producer's genre-defying hit became one of the biggest tracks of 2012 and was supported by no shortage of producers, even making a marquee appearance in Skrillex's Tomorrowland and Electric Zoo sets. Each of the four remixes succeeds in exploring new sonic territory while retaining the infectious rhythmic [...]

A couple of releases that went a bit under the radar from parisian drum and bass label IM:LTD have come to my attention this week. The new release dropping this Monday coming is from Ukranian enigma, Hibea which features a couple of remixes from both Phil Tangent and Fade. The former of those two is particularly dilectible. The second (digital only) release comes courtesy of French rising star Gerwin. Something a little heavier than what we've seen from him previously and proof that IM:Ltd [...]

Friday, for the people who didn't get tickets from KROQ for Depeche Mode at the Troubadour: ► London rockers the Veils visit the Echo in support of their new album "Time Stays, We Go," supported by Andy Burrows, Pop Noir and Deluka. That's their video for "Sad eyes," above (and you can get a remix of the song here [...]
While the Pryda camp has unquestionably aided Jeremy Olander in his rise to progressive house prominence, his next output marks his debut on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat label. While it will be hard to top the enchanting allure of "Let Me Feel," "Fractures" is no tune to sleep on. With its minimally-driven structure and emphatic groove, Olander's latest takes on a delectable tech house flavor, one that goes down smooth and satisfying. The track will be released May 6th on Sudbeats , the South American label's first ever compilation. You [...]

Aside from his collaboration with Quintion and Alvaro for one of Ultra's anthems and a slew of remixes, Tiësto has yet to out a standalone production in 2013. That is until now, as he's previewed his forthcoming original record, "Take Me," a big room gem with signature flare and vocal efforts from Kyler England. Having made way for colleagues all year, Tiësto carves a May 14th slot out of his Musical Freedom imprint to unleash "Take Me" on the summer. Having re-emerged to a hero's welcome at Miami's WMC last month, Eric Prydz brings the spotlight back to his Cirez D moniker with a formal return to Mouseville. For the label’s 18 th installment of techno wonderment, the Swedish icon unleashes two tracks that successfully pinpoint the power of his techno pseudonym. Led by boisterous A-side “Thunderstruck," ensuing EP B-side “Drums In The Deep” rounds off an essential outreach of cutting edge techno from one of Europe’s most diverse studio forces. Cirez D looks set to remind the world that before the Mau5, there was one mouse that ruled [...]

One of the most anticipated tracks of 2013 from the Revealed imprint comes at the hands of one of the label's promising understudies, Dyro . After receiving heaps of support from Hardwell at Ultra Music Festival and throughout Miami Music Week, Dyro 's most impressive production to date gears up for its official April 29th release date with a short preview. Separating himself from the pack of new production talents in his peripheral, Dyro has put together a uniquely menacing electro house track - one that establishes both a unique sound and a [...]
One of the great things I love about Austin Psych Fest is the way the festival is slowly branching out beyond your stereotypical psychedelia into related territory. This is the perfect case for Cali's The Growlers , who do have some lineage, though I think their recent efforts put them well outside that spectrum. Honestly, this is the highlight for the festival in my opinion; I've been jamming to their most recent record Hung at Heart since it came out earlier this year. It has a definite California [...]
One to never give himself a rest from the studio, John Dahlback is already sharing a sneak peek of his follow up to this month's " Don't Stop ." Moving away from his own camp, the Swede turns to Nicky Romero's imprint to host "Nuke," a figurative bomb that fits the mold set by its electro predecessors at Protocol Recordings . Dahlback's deep, grinding production stylings embody his past while stepping out of the box with festival fever. Due to kick off a string of summer releases, "Nuke" will come first on May 6th. [...]

In a long overdue follow-up to last year's "Steel Eyes" for Musical Freedom , Canadian hopeful Benji is back on the radar with his debut offering on Dim Mak. A full-bodied peak time affair rife with indie vocals and strong melodic progressions, "Following Me" is not your average festival anthem, but looks to score universal brownie points across club land on the merits of radio-friendly stamina. As featured on the second installment of the label's New Noise compilation series, the young Canadian appears back in the fast lane. Release date: May 7th You just finished [...]

This year's Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival will take place in a variety of Belfast venues next month; and over eleven days, the 14th CQAF will stage music, comedy, spoken word and visual arts. We're going to focus on the festival's musical elements, and with the bill boasting old favourties such as Dexys and Adam Ant as well as a truly eclectic mix young and unknown talent, there should be something for anyone who finds themselves at the festival. There's even a guy covering Nick Cave if you fancy it. Thursday, 2nd May [...]
DubVision struck gold with their remix of Discopolis' " Committed To Sparkle Motion ," as it became an instant anthem after its debut from Axwell at Electric Zoo. The vocal has become so engrained in the minds of dance music fans, that Axwell is giving the track another spin for his imprint - this time, the remix duties are his own. Axwell strays from the stylings of its anthemic predecessor with a repose yet groovy beat reminiscent of club tunes he's produced while still contained to the European dance scene. His radio edit dubbed "Falling" is slated to be released [...]
