That's a guitar wanking wet dream right there. The month-long run kicks off in Chicago on March 25th and wraps up in Philly on April 22nd. Here ...
Hevy Festival has announced its first fifteen bands for 2012 - they are Converge, Will Haven, Protest The Hero, Deaf Havana, Verse, The Chariot, A Wilhelm Scream, Deez Nuts, Set Your Goals, Trapped Under Ice, Pianos Become The Teeth, Balance and Composure, Sharks, Last Witness, and Crocus. Sweeeeeeet. When we went to Hevy last year, we were inspired by the close proximity of Port Lympne Wild Animal Park to ask Greg Puciato about Jurassic Park. As you do. If you haven't seen it already, check out the video: [...]
After posting our own year-end lists for 2011, we asked you, oh ye MetalSucks faithful, to tell us what you thought the best metal album of the year was. And the winner by a landslide was The Devin Townsend Project's all-star spectacular, Deconstruction, which got more than twice as many votes as its nearest competitors, [...]
There are dozens of factors that go into creating a "great" record, and I try to consider them all while listening to music of any sub-genre, in any time period, from any geographical location (3 important elements that play a roll in critiquing music as far as I'm concerned). It's easy to simply write something ...
Not too long ago, I went over to Double-Down Saloon to celebrate Frank's birthday with the rest of the crew from Metal Injection and MetalSucks. Amidst the smoke and the booze, there was one obvious question I had to ask everyone: what were some of your favorite records of 2011? Having posted their lists a ...
Someone please tell Protest the Hero to stop making such ridiculously entertaining music videos. Seriously, they're sucking up all the fun juice and they're just making all other metal bands look bad. They're kinda like the OK Go of metal; before we know it they'll be jumping around on treadmills and building elaborate Rube Golberg [...]
Woah! Now this is a tour to get your panties in a bunch about. Protest The Hero are heading back on the road in late November, and they have two great bands providing support: Scale The Summit and Last Chance To Reason. Chances are if you love any of these bands, you are either fond ...

At some point we're sure we'll see the end-result of Protest The Hero's frontman, Rody Walker, wearing a camera on his head for much of their Sonisphere set. For the time being, we'll just look at our pictures of it and marvel at how weird it looks. Protest The Hero @ Sonisphere Festival 2011 c/o [...]

News Here at MS we like to use the Reviews section to highlight smaller bands that we don't otherwise talk about much throughout the regular course of our blogging. Said "regular course of our blogging" includes tons of articles about bigger bands' albums, usually before release: song premieres (here or elsewhere), music videos, in-studio vids, album [...]
