Hey im sharing with u one of my latest tracks, enjoy! http://lasredesdenadie.bandcam p.com/track/maya
We had this one back in 2005, very early on in the life of the blog! http://dilate.choonz.com/index .php?id=33 (Think it was a slightly different mix though.)
Nice One. It's on one of my favourite and cherished CDs – http://www.discogs.com/Various -Network/release/265118
David Bowie - John I'm Only Dancing (Again) 1975 Sorry for prolonged absence from this blog... I've returned to mark the occasion of David Bowie's 65th birthday with a little tune from 1975, which (I think) was an outtake from the sessions for Young Americans . It's essentially a funk remake of the 1972 single "John I'm Only Dancing", and the basic musical structure was used with different lyrics and an additional main two-chord theme as "Stay" on Bowie's 1976 Station To Station LP. [...]
Just digging through my old CDs. Found this old one from Network Records 1990. 'Real Love' by Nexus 21. Quite a nice old skool cut. Nice strings. File Download (5:31 min / 13 MB)
Check out this new Mashup I made, It's Lenny Kravitz "Fly Away" VS DJ Fresh "Gold Dust" Hope you like it. http://soundcloud.com/danielbe dingfld/daniel-bedingfield-gol d-dust Daniel Bedingfield
Hi, I would like to submit you some tracks I produced. You can find one first here if you want: http://soundcloud.com/bioblitz /dilemn-clapping-bioblitz-reml Any question or comments, please let me know Best, Ben
New Order - ICB Apologies for such a long time since my previous posting... only just getting back into some semblance of normal work/life balance after working flat out for about 6 months. It was this week's publication of the interim report from the Independent Commission on Banking , chaired by Sir John Vickers, that spurred me into posting action after a long layoff. I realised that the acronym for the commission, "ICB", was the same as a song off New Order's first album Movement [...]
Populous - Bottom 01 Here is a nice ambient slice from 'Populous'. The LP is called 'Quipo' from 2002. I love this tune despite it being so short....nice dope beat, guitars, glitches & I read somewhere that the other sample is a clarinet....anyway sounds nice to my ears. Production is crisp. If you are going to purchase one of his records, I would probably get 'Queue for Love' (2005) as overall its a better LP than 'Quipo' His later LP 'Drawn in Basic' is slightly different [...]
little dragon- "blinking pigs" Lovely little tune here, from Swedish outfit little dragon . This quote from their website bio captures the effect- to begin with it sounds quite lame and twee, but as it goes on, it grows on you until you realise it's really quite good: "From the city of Gothenburg grew the birth of tiny creature- its breath full of fire, passion, death and dreams. It lived in a fantasy called the electric forest. This forest was thick [...]
Mayer Hawthorne- "The Ills" Completing (belatedly) the trio of soul for 2011, is this new school number from Stonesthrow's Mayer Hawthorne . Born and raised in Michigan, his sound is rooted in Motown soul. With his falsetto vocals and multiple-instrumental talents, he's part Smokey, part Curtis and part Stevie, but although he's real old school, and draws from the same well, he's got his own style and sensibility too. I strongly recommend getting his album A Strange Arrangement [...]
Dear Dilate.Choonz – Check out Chino Maurice when you get a chance, thanks! – J.

Timo Camillo and Alevol - Tea Stories #000 I'd like to point you in the direction of a couple of lovely tracks from Timo Camillo and Alevol, released on their new label 26 Tea Drops. They're ambient house guaranteed to soften your mood, incredibly laid back and with a large pinch of KDJ influence. Timo Camillo's A New Day grows gradually from the opening synth strings with the addition of chunky piano chords and bongos, eventually building beautifully into a subtle house groove. Alveol's epic [...]
If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more air max 95 neon . Then you'll know which is right for you.
Naomi Shelton and The Gospel Queens - "What Have You Done, My Brother?" Not much time to write, but wanted to whack this up to keep to my new year's "once a week, minimum" posting resolution. Fortunately, this track from Alabama-born gospel veteran Naomi Shelton speaks rousingly for itself- and the pedigree of the artists involved, some of whom performed in the early days with James Brown and Wilson Pickett, is fully evident. Daptone Records have signed her/them, and the What have you [...]
Superlatives - "Don't know how (to say 'I love you')" HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! It seems I have the honour of opening DC for 2011 with the first in a triptych of soulful earfuls that have been keeping me feeling toasty and warm in recent months. This first one took me a good few years to track down- I heard it first on an amazing mix Pete Rock did on Radio 1 world service about 5 years ago, where he just [...]
BTSM - (We'll Arrest You) When You Step Off The Plane A little something topical for the kids now... those of you not on the Richard Branson space program probably know that the head of the Roman Catholic Church, the Pope, is visiting the UK over the next few days. Last month, three members of the Burning Lodge immersion composition group entered a rehearsal studio in Bermondsey to record a selection of freeform jams, sonic experiments and in-jokes. In other words it was very similar [...]
Cheers Alboy and Double K – touching tributes to my son and heir. It's been quite a rollercoaster ride the last couple of weeks, but things might just be settling down a bit. Max is developing a taste for classic Orb, circa 1990-1 (Spanish Castles in Space is a favourite) and slept along happily to a selection of choice house and disco cuts on Spotify this afters. He's now enjoying Future Days by Can. I've yet to try out ruffneck jungle bizness on him but it is, no doubt, only a matter of time.
Gil Scott Heron vs DJ Asparagus- "Your Daddy Loves You" A further tribute to the youngest addition to Dilated Choonz, young Max Shooter - this one perhaps more up Squeaker's alley than the ruffness from Double K... A smooth jazz house edit of Gil Scott Heron's your daddy loves you by Stockholm's DJ Asparagus . In this case a moving message of love to Gil's young daughter, but I'm sure the sentiment applies to the Max Daddy n'all Congratulations to mother [...]
