This totally sounds like an EDM number from the beginning, but then you're thrown a curve ball...and you say to yourself, "Yeah, this works". Not only does it work, but it's interesting to listen to. Hip-Hop sensation Danny Brown hops on this indie-influenced beat by Purity Ring , and the duo call it Belispeak II . Apparently this is a "tribute" sequel to Shrines' "Belispeak" . The BREWER directed video for Purity Ring 's "Belispeak" is like looking through the eyes of someone having a bad mushroom trip. I mean, I'm guessing that's what it would look like... I have been listening to "Belispeak" for so long now (originally released 9 months ago) I didn't realize until I was making this post that Purity Ring's first album hasn't even been released yet. I guess this music video can act as a appetizer for me until July 24th when Purity Ring's   Shrines is officially being released through 4ad . [...]

Purity Ring   are set to unleash the debut project Shrines on July 24th via 4AD and the duo just surfaced their clip for "Belispeak," which is also featured on the upcoming album. Vocalist Megan James is trapped in some sort of swamp that includes monsters and gets captured in the end, it's creepy and intriguing at the same time just like the music Purity Ring makes.
