It's not exactly your classic lyrical hook, but Megan James takes the macabre and turns it on its head, injecting light into the dark, warmth into the frigid. The result is a tune that uses the abject as its play thing, evoking the brevity that can be found even in moments of pain. "Fineshrine" is Purity Ring's best track to date; it's wildly catchy and endearingly strange - a successful balancing act in both a sonic and thematic sense. [...]
