Cruel Winter . Is it a follow-up to the only-sometimes-great Cruel Summer ? Is Kanye expressing an interest in nature documentaries? Both ? We couldn't tell you, but we could point to Pusha T's recent statement : "Cruel Winter, man, I don't know. I know there are other records. I don't personally know about Cruel Winter. That's a Q-Tip/Kanye thing. Q-Tip and Kanye, they have conversations, I'm not made privy to those conversations. I come in, do my verses and I'm out. They have [...]
A few weeks ago Q-Tip let it be known that Cruel Winter was being worked on and that he would be playing a much bigger role than he did on Cruel Fall Summer . Now we are receiving word from Pusha T that this is in fact true. Check out his statement below: " Cruel Winter , man, I don't know. I know there are other records. I don't personally know about Cruel Winter , that's a Q-Tip/Kanye thing. Q-Tip and Kanye, they have conversations, [...]

From the day I heard RZA was directing a Kung Fu film with Quentin Tarantino having a hand in it, I went bonkers. And then I saw the tracklisting for the soundtrack and I lost it. I was lucky enough to attend a private screening of the film,The Man with the Iron Fists, and it was visually stunning and had a great plot. The storytelling was a bit lacking but the main points were presented in an entertaining manner. The most impressive aspect of it was how the movie preserved elements of older Kung Fu films and still had a [...]

It's not often that a movie soundtrack generates as much interest and buzz as The Man With The Iron Fists OST has, but then again most soundtracks aren't creatively overseen by a legendary producer like Rza . Thus far we've clamored over tracks like The Black Keys collaboration, "The Baddest Man Alive," and Kanye West 's soulful "White Dress," but today all bets are off as we get our first listen to the rest of the soundtrack in its entirety. In addition to those cuts mentioned above, Wu-Tang and Kool [...]

New Pusha T featuring Future called “Pain”. Not loving the autotune hook at all, but the Kanye-produced beat is top notch and Pusha’s verses are on point, per usual. This is apparently his debut single from his upcoming Def Jam debut.

Shortly after the release of Cruel Summer , G.O.O.D. Music emcee Pusha T drops an impromptu new single, titled "Pain". The Kanye West produced track is a creatively gritty single mixing heavy bass, maraca rips, gunshot echoes and background vocals cultivating a dark vibe. As expected, the Bronx rapper does this tough beat justice by delivering some dope lines throughout his lyrically witty verses. With lines like "18 wheeler gorillas/ black with gold chains/pitch bird like the steelers/hines ward of the crime lords/running through this money screaming encore," Pusha T [...]

With 'Cruel Summer' out of the way, Pusha-T is back working on his forthcoming solo project, which is expected to drop next year. "Pain" is the latest single from the aforementioned LP and it features a catchy hook by Future plus the usual epic production by our very own Kanye West & No I.D.. This one definitely bangs, listen below!

With the recent release of DJ Drama's Quality Street Music , we (finally) got to hear what happens when Waka Flocka and Tyler, the Creator link up " I'ma Hata ." There was quite a bit of commentary regarding how well Tyler meshed with Drama and Waka. We'd known Tyler was a fan of Waka for a while now, but the resulting song had us asking: does that appreciation make for a great pairing? How does the Odd Future camp, who collaborates internally more often than with artists outside of their circle, stack [...]

Kanye West has been busy lately since the release of his G.O.O.D. Music album "Cruel Summer" and this track featuring Future kind of seems like a cut off that album that just didn't make it cause an uncleared sample or something.
I don't never feel pain/ Cause I done felt too much pain sings a grizzled, robot Future at the outset of "Pain," Pusha-T's new single produced by Kanye West. The track will appear on Pusha's ... read more

Rapper-"singer" Future may not have the most attractive utilization of Auto-Tune-his machine-aided crooning coming across like a R&B robot shower singer who is simultaneously half-drunk, gargling and forever about to burst into tears-yet it has somehow become one of the more beloved sounds of the year, a large part of the reason why his breakout crossover smash "Turn On The Light" is so endlessly transfixing. Pusha T taps the flavor on his latest cut "Pain", and it ends up being a potent additive to the whole, Future setting an ominous mood [...]
With an instrumental from some character named Kanye and a simple hook from Future, Pusha T's "Pain" stands an unexpected, but pleasant surprise. At some point in the next year, [...] The post Pusha T Feat. Future - "Pain" (Prod. By Kanye West) appeared first on The Smoking Section .

Welcome back, Cudder. Between the Cruel Summer standout "Creepers," the previously released "Just What I Am", and the new "King Wizard", it's apparent that Kid Cudi is back with a vengeance, and he knows it. The track's release was accompanied by a tweet from Scott Mescudi proclaiming, "mark my words, INDICUD will be the greatest album ever made. Know that I'm not lying." An empowering hook and one of the best first verses he's delivered since "Heart of a Lion" have me inclined to not temper any lofty expectations I might have [...]
It would stand to reason that of all the heavyweight rap collectives that exist in 2012, Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music would have as good a chance as any to transcend [...] The post "To The World" - Review Of G.O.O.D. Music's Cruel Summer appeared first on The Smoking Section .

Yes, you just read that right and yes, your pants may have just become very moist (don't you hate that fucking word?). In a recent interview at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards, G.O.O.D. Music rapper Q-Tip spilt the beans in an MTV News interview -and it was one big bowl of juicy, speculative beans. After the interviewer expressed his disappointment of not hearing Q spit on "Cruel Summer", the rapper called over G.O.O.D. teammate Pusha T to let the cat out of the bag. "If there's a Cruel Summer then there's got to [...]
If there's a Cruel Summer , then there's got to be a Cruel Winter , right?" When pressed by MTV News why he wasn't on G.O.O.D. Music 's Cruel Summer at Saturday night's BET Hip-Hop Awards, Q-Tip had to "let the cat out of the bag" of its proposed sequel. Take the news with a grain of salt, though he did announce it next to Pusha T , who was on like, y'know, almost every track off the original. Either way, this doesn't make Yeezy's weekend [...]
