It's my last night in town, I’ve seen so many great acts so far and played some great showcases. Now I’m approaching an act that I have waited a long time to see- Black Radio has been not only a huge influence on myself, but as well as every other young musician I’ve met. Robert Glasper, one of the most innovative piano players out there; accompanied by his backing band of some of the top musicians in the world. The crowd is thick and the addition of guest vocalist Erykah Badu brings along several excited whispers that pass [...]
No one artist has ever been able to so simultaneously coexist in the inherently contrasting parallel universes of the underground and the overblown quite like Thom Yorke. Tonight, he plays a refurbished marquee-like expanse around the back of Hackney Road in the shadow of the sinister gas holders that preside over the E2 skyline so, two decades on to the day from the release of Radiohead's much since lionised début, Pablo Honey . He is a creature of contradistinction – what Tyler, The Creator may deem seething: "a fucking walking paradox." And just days later, it is his squinting [...]
The invaluable brilliance of BBC Radio 6 Music resides in its ability to bring the innately esoteric to a more broad or – and I here generalise slightly – to a perhaps less discerning audience (myself more often than not included) than would otherwise be exposed to these weird and wonderful sounds from around and about the circumference of the globe. Gilles Peterson is among the station's most fervent flag bearers, and his annual Worldwide Awards continually exhibit not only the intense variegation of his appreciably vivid palette, but with that his abiding travails in centralising the left field a [...]
As a result of certain life events due to transpire next year, I may not be going to concerts / festivals at the same rate I used to, so it's a good thing that I went all out this year. This was my first year I went to Bonnaroo in addition to my usual Pitchfork Fest / Pygmalion coverage, and I got to see some of all-time favorite, bucket list artists for the first time like New Order, Jeff Mangum and the Beach Boys. Below are my 20 favorite live shows of the year. You can visit the [...]

It could be argued that no artist has had a better year than that of Frank Ocean . He has garnered both critical and mainstream praise with his debut solo album Channel Orange , drew comparisons to all-time greats such as Stevie Wonder, and, recently, was nominated for 6 Grammy's. So when he dares to put his take on the Radiohead classic "Fake Plastic Trees", there is no doubt it will be good. Listen/watch below.

New Order played their first gig in over seven years in Oakland's Fox Theater. Part of me is nervously anticipating the arrival of one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME without the most vital part of the band, Peter Hook. My mind has replayed how AWESOME the show is going to be, however, what if the show disappoints and I've been hyping it up for over twenty years? Based on the videos making the rounds on YouTube, it appears that fans eagerly awaiting might not be let down. Speaking of "Let Down," Radiohead's ACL video finally [...]

After dealing with the death of drum tech Scott Johnson at last months tragic stage collapse in Toronto, Radiohead postponed a few shows and are now set to return to the tour. The first stop back was Nimes, France and the band played a show that was unlike any other so far on the tour. They opened with 'Lucky' which was a first on the tour (And first time played since 1998) , and every other show has seen 'Bloom' as the opener. They also played 'Treefingers' live which may be the first time ever for the [...]

Photo by Erica Bruce for Washington City Paper Words by Vicki Radiohead has sat atop my list of must-see bands for a long time, not because I’m a superfan (rather, I’m a relative latecomer) but because the band is basically a living legend. Their music is lauded as groundbreaking, and their influence looms large over the current musical landscape. They’ve amassed a catalogue which showcases a style that, even after more than 25 years together, is somehow still evolving. [...]

Bonnaroo 2012 marked my first time seeing Radiohead , and it’s safe to say that it may have been the greatest set I have ever witnessed (closely followed by My Morning Jacket at Bonnaroo 2011 and LCD Soundsystem at Terminal 5 in 2010). The band just destroyed their set with every song in their twenty five-song set, covering their entire discography, relying heavily their latests “In Rainbows” and “The King Of [...]
![15 Photos of Radiohead’s Insane Stage Set [Camden, NJ, 6/13/12]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4345664_lg.jpg)
Last week, we were extremely lucky to catch Radiohead 's concert in Camden, NJ. We were equally as lucky to not be involved in the tragic occurrence that happened earlier this week which was the result of one of the most insane stage set-ups I've ever witnessed live. U2, you don't have anything on this. Thom Yorke , in all beardlyness, continued to grow his hair into a ponytail and dance around the stage as his fellow band-mates proved once again why they are the best rock show on Earth today. This show was no [...]
Radiohead was set to perform in Toronto on June 16th but tragedy hit and left drum technician Scott Johnson dead as the stage collapsed. As a tribute to Radiohead and Johnson, The Flaming Lips were playing Toronto on the same evening and honored them with a cover of 'Knives Out'.

Even though I'd just seen them a few months earlier, Radiohead was still my most anticipated set of the weekend and from the moment that their gargantuan, multi-colored LED wall and myriad of tilting, floating screens turned on, the band absolutely triumphed. I was closer to the stage then when I saw them at Scottrade Center in St. Louis , which made their extravagant light show even more visceral and immersive (particularly during the neon green rain effect during "The Gloaming") and fortunately, there was plenty of variation in the setlist, so their performance felt like an entirely [...]
I guess you can say Radiohead fans are completists. Going on from some kind soul providing a full gig video from their appearance at Coachella, someone's done the same for their set at Bonnaroo over last weekend. This performance includes an airing of new song 'Full Stop' and 'Supercollider' being dedicated to Jack White. Watch it in HD below. The Guardian seems to think Thom Yorke and co. may be working with him and suggests there could be a possible future collaboration. [...]
In Radiohead 's string of live performances during their The King of Limbs tour, the band has premiered a small handful of new material off and on. Add "Full Stop," which debuted last night during the band's Chicago set at Tinley Park. Watch the live cut below.
After teasing at a collaboration with Jack White only two days ago, Radiohead once again used their live performance to deliver something even more exciting during a show in Chicago last night. The band debuted a brand new song during their concert, titled "Full Stop," which many devoted fans took footage of. Above and after the jump, you can watch fan-made clips of the song, which Thom Yorke ended by saying "like wine, it will better with age."

Radiohead took the stage at Bonnnaroo on Friday, June 8th, for nearly a two and a half hour show. At 25 songs long this was Radiohead's longest show to date, you can check out the whole setlist and concert below. Bonnaroo 2012 SETLIST: 01:18 Bloom 07:52 15 Step 12:15 Kid A 16:59 Weird Fishes/Arpeggi 22:45 Staircase 28:00 The Daily Mail 31:58 I Might Be Wrong 37:05 The Gloaming 41:15 Separator 47:40 Nude 52:26 Magpie 57:40 Identikit 1:01:40 Lotus Flower [...]
As is their wont, the guys of Radiohead have been playing some new material while out on the road. One track in particular, "Full Stop", has been captured by a faithful fan who seemed to have the perfect spot for catching some pretty solid audio and borderline-trippy video. Of course, it's difficult to fully grasp what this song will sound like in the studio, but as a complete Radiohead fan-boy, I am absolutely loving this. You can watch the live footage, which stems from yesterday's gig in Chicago, below. We'll have a full write-up on some of shows [...]
During their headling set at Bonnaroo last night, Radiohead hinted heavily at a possible collaboration with Jack White . Just before going into their track "Supercollider," Thom Yorke said, " This song is for Jack White. We saw him yesterday. A big thank-you to him, but we can't tell you why. You'll find out." Who knows what we can expect from a collaboration such as this, but let the speculation begin. As well, check out the band's entire Bonnaroo performance above.
HD Video by G. Before you get totally excited, please note that there are definitely some limitations on this video. You do the best you can when you are in a crowded stadium, trying to enjoy the show, dodging people's heads, etc. My suggestion is that if you feel the need to criticize my camera [...]
