Although they didn't find much wealth of talent in Portland - they did give 45 people a golden ticket to Hollywood. If you missed last night's Portland auditions you can see our recap here [...]

![A$AP Rocky - Live in Toronto [Concert Recap]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4024436_lg.jpg)
There was very little about the A$AP Rocky show at The Opera House in Toronto to suggest that this was going to be a banger of a show. To start, the A$AP crew had very little experience with a live crowd and - what we did know - was that they had a predilection to beating up sound guys . Plus, given that presumed assault charge, I didn't have the most supreme confidence that Rakim Mayers and the crew would even be getting into the country to begin with. But they did. And from there, they certainly maximized their [...]

When he came in the audition room he told the judges he was a [...]

It is a new round of auditions tonight as American Idol hits Aspen, Colorado for auditions. The fresh mountain air is bringing a whole new energy to the crowd tonight. Another set of contestants will hit the stage to win their golden ticket to Hollywood. We have heard that tonight we will see some of the more colorful contestants and some pretty awful audtions. We love the good auditions but the bad ones are fun too :-) Love them, hate them you never forget them. Who can forget William [...]

Castle returns to ABC tonight with the 13th episode of the 9th season and it is called 'An Embarrassment of Bitches.' Stay tuned as we live blog the show with all the up-to-the-minute details. On tonight's show When a famous dog trainer is killed, the investigation keeps coming back to charismatic reality TV star (rumored to be based on Kim Kardashian) Kay Cappuccio (guest star Hilarie Burton, "White Collar"). Kay, a favorite of tabloids and gossip websites the world over, has achieved stardom without possessing any discernible skill or talent. But there seems to [...]

Tonight is a special Sunday edition of American Idol. The show will air right after tonight's New York/San Francisco Football game. American Idol claims they are kicking it up a notch this year with more talent than they have had in previous season. However, ratings were down for the first two episodes by 20% from Wednesday night's premiere - 28% from its first Thursday broadcast last year! The Voice airs February 5th right after the Super Bowl so Idol is going to have to kick it up more than a notch if they want to win the [...]

The CW's hit show The Vampire Diaries returns tonight with a new episode called, " The Ties That Bind " and tonight Bonnie (Kat Graham) figures out who can open Klaus' families coffins. On last week's show Bonnie and Stefan (Paul Wesley) tried everything to open one of the coffins which they believe hold the answer to how to get rid/kill Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Meanwhile Klaus is totally pissed off he wants his family back but Stefan is totally not cooperating. Stefan has convinced himself he has nothing left in his life [...]

How was 2011 for you? I'm really satisfied how my music evolved during the past 12 months. I'm feeling much more in control of the process, and the difference between what I hear in my head and what comes out of the speakers is getting smaller and smaller. Plus, I dropped a few bad habits which makes 2011 a good year in my book. Highlights? One of the favorite moments this year was playing the Planet V event in London together with Jenna G. We've been working on our show [...]

How was 2011 for you? Way too short; [it] went by in a flash. But a great year when looking back. Highlights? Got a wicked new studio space, made some great music there this autumn. Went to some sick gigs around the UK which definitely keep me inspired after meeting loads of people with really good taste in music. Lowlights? Missed a few shows abroad and any sunshine over the summer here too, so feeling a bit pasty. [...]

Anyone that didn't see this coming, wasn't watching close enough. I've written several times about Kanye West's innovations and particularly the innovations with VOYR. Here they summarize the power of this video series and what's to come. If you're a marketing major or into branding, take notes. Also, read my new interview with Mike Dean .

How was 2011 for you? 2011 was an awakening for me. Highlights? Spinning on a float for my longtime friend Jean Paul Gaultier at Pinkarnaval, a carnival inspired by the exhibit, "The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier – From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk," at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. It was amazing to play for a crowd of thousands of people all dressed up in their best striped outfits. Lowlights? None! Thank God!!! What's your New [...]

How was 2011 for you? Simon Lewicki: It was a great year! We played lots of shows, did lots of remixes, and people in the U.S. are getting to know us. (We're quite a big deal in Australia, though.) [ Laughs ] Chris Carter: Amazing to get our album out in Australia and soon to be U.S. as well! Disappointed I wasn't abducted by extra-terrestrials, though. Highlights? Simon: Having our self-titled studio album finally come out in Australia was great, and having some songs in movies was pretty [...]

How was 2011 for you? It was amazing! Artistic and business-wise it was the best one so far, though I'm in this game for almost 20 years now. I've made so much good music, more than hundred gigs all around the world and my 1605 label is also stirring a lot of attention. Highlights? There was my Toolroom Knights compilation in the beginning of the year, and I've just releases a joint artists album with my fellow countryman Beltek that is dominating the Beatport techno chart (also tech-house, progressive and [...]

How was 2011 for you? It was very good! lots of traveling, which made me find new music, new inspirations, and new energy to make good tracks. Highlights? So many good memories will stay with me, starting from a crazy weekend in which I have played at minus 22 degrees in Canada on friday and 35 degrees in Porto Rico on the Saturday! Also spent a month in Indonesia, playing and looking for samples. Amazing experience! Lowlights? A couple of friends passed away [...]

How was 2011 for you? 2011 was unbelievable! It started out great and just seemed to get better and better as the year went on. During 2011 I celebrated my very first release as well as my first international gig, and have now signed exclusively to my favorite psy-breaks label, Broken Robot Records. Practically every event I've been to this past year has blown my mind with mind-meltingly good music and truly outstanding people. I'm confident 2012 will bring more of the same! Highlights? Probably got to be playing at [...]

How was 2011 for you? Incredible!! Mind blowing! Inspiring! Feeling very lucky and thankful. Highlights? We've had so many highlights. They range from playing Dalt Villa in Ibiza and Closing with Pete Tong, our single under Astralwerks reaching number 1 on the UK club charts, our collaborations with Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Avicii, David Guetta, our first ever Beatport number 1 with "The Way We See The World," the list goes one.... playing at Pacha NYC, playing main stage at Tomorrowland, opening for Britney Spears & Nicki Minaj, touring America on [...]
