Elway have announced some tour dates kicking off tongiht in Kansas City. The Red Scare band continues to support 2011's Delusions .

Alternative Press is streaming a new song from Brendan Kelly and the Wandering Birds , entitled "What's a Boy to Do?" The song will appear on the upcoming full-length, I'd Rather Die Than Live Forever , due out March 27, 2012 . You can check out the song here .

Red Scare has announced that they will be working with Madison, WI's Masked Intruder , releasing the band's debut EP, First Offense , digitally on March 6th. The EP features art by cartoonist Liz Prince and will also get a 7" release, courtesy of Hang Up Records. Red Scare also announced that the band is set to hit Atlas Studios in Chicago this April to record a full length. The band previously released their demo via Death to False Hope Records, which you can check out here .

The Heat Tape has announced the dates for their first European tour. The band released Raccoon Valley Recordings in 2011 on Red Scare .

E Minor Seven has posted a video of Nothington 's Jay Northington performing an acoustic version of "This Time Last Year" from their 2007 album All In . The video is part of E Minor Seven's "Back Seat Series," and as such, the performance takes place in the back of a "soap box daredevil racing machine."

The Sidekicks recorded their song, "1940's Fighter Jet," for If You Make It 's Pink Couch Sessions . Their new record, Awkward Breeds , is due out February 21st, 2012 . Don't pirate it or Toby will go bananas.

I've never heard of them before and I think I might be their first ever scrobble on last.fm but I hope it won't be their last. Despite the noise, there is definitely melodic hooks with a slight retro feel to it. Red Scare has posted a pair of upcoming single releases. First up is a 2-song 7" from The Menzingers , and comes ahead of their forthcoming Epitaph debut, On The Impossible Past . Philadelphia's The Holy Mess will head to the studio with Matt Allison ( Alkaline Trio , The Menzingers ) at Atlas Studios to record their full-length debut on Red Scare this March. In 2011, the band released a collection CD, The Holy Mess , on Red Scare combining Dismount 12" , Benefit Sesh [7-inch] , and 2 new songs. Red Scare has provided us with a first look at the artwork from Lawrence Arms ' co-frontman's new single, A Man With The Passion Of Tennessee Williams . The new band is called Brendan Kelly and the Wandering Birds and the first three songs from the quartet are due out December 27, 2011 , just in time for missing Christmas. A full length will follow in February or March.

After dropping hints for the past six months or so about a new solo project, Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms , The Falcon and Slapstick has revealed the name of his new solo project: Brendan Kelly and the Wandering Birds . The name, is a nerdy reference to the Wandervogel of Germany; groups formed in the late 1800s whose wanted to escape the confines of society and return to nature and freedom. (Thanks college!)
