Great show coming up Saturday at Rohs Street Cafe. Local favorites Bad Veins and the buzzworthy PUBLIC will be joining out-of-towners The Ridges in the gorgeous Rohs Street Sanctuary. The show comes at an interesting time for Bad Veins. Frontman Ben Davis announced through their website last month that drummer Sebastien Schultz amicably left the band. I recently stated that " anything that has Joywave's name attached to it is getting posted ." Not too long ago, Joywave held a show at the Strasenburgh Planetarium in their hometown of Rochester, NY. Just in time for the new year comes the release of a Daytrotter session from a great local band, The Ridges . I just finished listening to the five song session and I have to say it's some of the best stuff I've heard from the band. Of course being in the magical Daytrotter studios can't hurt. The songs featured in the session include live versions of "Not a Ghost," "War Bonds" and "Overboard" from The Ridges' self-titled debut as well as two previously unreleased tracks called "Dawn of Night" and "Jackson Pollock."
