We have the sad news to report that Bobby Rogers, a founding member of the Miracles, died Sunday, March 3 following a long battle with diabetes. He was 73. Rogers was a major player in Motown in the '60s and not just for his part in the Miracles, of which Smokey Robinson was most famously a member until he went solo in 1972. Together, Rogers and Robinson wrote a number of hits, including Marvin Gaye's "Ain't That Familiar" and the Temptations' "The Way You Do The Things You Do". Motown Museum board member Allen Rawls says Rogers died Sunday morning at his home. Rogers had been ill for several years. He lived in the Detroit suburb of Southfield.

Richard Street, who is pictured first to the left above, of the Temptations died at age 70 early Wednesday, Feb. 27 following a brief illness. Street, who hailed from Detroit, was a member of the legendary singing group from 1971 to 1993. During that time, he lent his vocals to hits like "Masterpiece" and "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone", among many other memorable cuts. Before joining the Temptations, Street performed with another Motown act, the Monitors, and embarked on a solo career in the '90s. Otis "Damon" Harris of The Temptations died Monday, February 18th at the age of 62. According to the Baltimore Sun , Harris lost his 14-year battle with prostate cancer.
