James Mattock, singer/guitarist for the UK's SHARKS , sat down with Punks in Vegas recently and performed acoustic renditions of two songs off their upcoming full-length, No Gods : "Arcane Effigies" and "What Entails?." The album is due out March 20th, 2012 .

Rise Records has posted "Communication Blues," a new track by Cheap Girls . The song will be on their upcoming record, the Tom Gabel -produced Giant Orange , due out on February 21st. A twitter update from Hot Water Music has revealed that they have started recording their new album at the Blasting Room in Denver, directly following the wrap of Bouncing Souls new album at the same studio. Bill Stevenson ( Descendents , Black Flag ) will be producing the forthcoming album. This will be Hot Water Music's first post-reunion full length, debut on Rise Records and first proper release since 2004's The New What Next .

Man Overboard have announced the dates for their recently announced Pop Punk The Vote in the US. The headlining tour will take place between their upcoming UK and European dates. The bill will open with Handguns and Seahaven on all dates and Daytrader and Candy Hearts splitting the opening slot on the tour. .

It's easy to imagine Emily Lacy living inside of a giant old tree, and fairies come to her for wisdom about saving the world. For the past few months, Lacy has been rallying for the revolution with her Occupy shows in town, and she's teamed up with producer Scott Barber to put it on virtual wax. The guys in Make Do and Mend had quite the year in 2011 between touring, signing to a new record label, and recording a new EP of acoustic songs. Like their peers in "the Wave," the Connecticut band demonstrates a passion for their craft through their seemingly constant touring and musical output. Cheap Girls have posted tour dates for early 2012, with The Sidekicks supporting. The tour will go from the band's home state of Michigan down the east coast to SXSW. They will be supporting their forthcoming Rise Records debut, Giant Orange , due out February 21, 2012 .

Britain's SHARKS have detailed their first studio album, No Gods , due out March 20, 2012 via Rise Records .
