This wooden comb bike rack made by the Knowhow Shop LA co-op as a public art installation for the city of Roanoke, VA is rad and clever. That's all. More cities should have shit like this. [via colossal ] Tweet

Here's a little video we cut from our recent All Hallow's Eve Tour with Holy Ghost Trent Revival ~ enjoy!:

Last night while en route to the Holy Ghost compound we ran over a deer. Mind you the deer had already been struck down by some long gone assaliant, we still ran over its carcass at about 70 mph. There is now deer hair on our wheels and a new whine from the engine, particularly when going up hill. Now, after waking to a wonderful feast of biscuits and gravy with loaded scrambeled eggs prepared by Jaime Coggins and Kim (again thank you!) we have set off safely for New Bern for our next stop on this jaunt [...]

its hard to believe that it has been 20 years since Stevie Ray Vaughan ( site / wiki ) died. i remember exactly where i was when i first heard the news. it was my first day as a student at a major university. there was a radio report that initially said that "Eric Clapton's helicopter had crashed." wow, i thought, "Clapton is dead!?!" but soon after the facts became more clear: it was a helicopter leaving Eric Clapton's concert that had [...]

Red Clay River proudly comes out of Roanoke, Virgina and could very well be one of the most popular bands ever prior to releasing a full length album. My Red Clay River experience came at Deep Blues Festival '09. My buddy from here in Florida had already tipped me off about them and made me promise to catch them live while I was there, and being a man of my word, I did. Afterward we went back, met the guys (and gal) and picked up their music. Nothing, neither of the two EP's I picked up nor the live show [...]
