Knife Party is the side project from Pendulum's duo Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen. Their song "Internet Friends" has been catching fire since its initial release in the Summer of 2011. It was remixed and re-released on their EP 100% No Modern Talking in December of '11. The 4-track EP is available for a free download on their Facebook page . Again, it is free and if you have ever heard of Pendulum you might as well join the Knife Party. SHM vs. Knife Party- Antidote Swedish House Mafia just finished their historic Madison Square Garden show a couple nights ago (if you didn't see it, go check it out on youtube), and now they have released their music video to the collaboration 'Antidote'. Knife Party, a side project of Pendulum, is slowly growing to one of the larger acts on the EDM circuit, which has me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside due to their refreshing new sound. Either way this video tells a pretty interesting [...]
Rob Swire, one halfe of Knife Party, tossed this short preview up on his SoundCloud earlier today. The song definitely lives up to the title as far as it's abundance of lazers. As of recently, Knife Party has been killing it with huge remixes of "Save The World Tonight," Nero's "Crush on You," and Porter Robinson's "Unison" so be sure to watch out for their upcoming 100% No Modern Talking EP. Knife Party , well-known for their latest remix to Swedish House Mafia's, 'Save The World,' has caught the attention amongst the EDM world very quickly. Who exactly is Knife Party? Rob Swire and Gaereth McGrillen of Pendelum (the band who created song 'The Island') team up together to produce some fantastic remixes along with many upcoming originals including a track with Swedish House Mafia, 'Unnamed.' Including their brand new remix of Porter's Unison, what Knife Party has in store for their upcoming tracks for Fall 2011, expect to hear a lot about Rob Swire's brand new [...]
Here is the latest tune that we will have going around every single dance tent in the land, several times a day. Yes, it's now Summer. After the incredible One track from [...] Continue reading Read on..

Short and sweet and no messing tonight. I'm just banging out a few tracks for the masses being as it's a Funky Friday night. This is a tune indeed people. Everyone knows of Joel by now - thank goodness the rest of the world has caught on - but Nero however have only just recently [...] Continue..

I'm still not sure about Drum-Step. It's just Drum'n'Bass half timed right? I think it was Rusko 's Hold On ( Sub Focus Remix) that first made it to my eardrums and it was explained that it was Drum-Step. This half timing has been going on for a while though. I remember the Tekdubz shows back in the day where half-timing between D'n'B and Hip Hop was treated like sport. Rusko - Hold On (feat. Amber Coffman) (Sub [...]

Near summer's start, I briefly reviewed Pendulum's latest feature album Immersion. The verdict? Great, but with some forgettable sideshow tracks. In the aftermath of one hell of a festival season, have the hits of Immersion stood up to the test of time? After seeing Kaskade drop the Steve Angello remix of The Island at Electric Zoo Festival a couple weeks back, I've got to say: yes. Definitely yes. In those tracks that matter, Pendulum has somehow managed to refine their sound for the new decade. It's a [...]

" We spend nearly every waking moment trying to create music that takes you out of this universe - for ourselves and anyone else who wants to listen." - Pendulum. Pendulum. A name synonymous with the now six piece outfit that formed in Perth, Western Australia in 2002, when producers Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen teamed up with acclaimed local DJ Paul 'Elhornet' Harding. Their vastly different musical roots helped define Pendulum's unique style. The name Pendulum as Gareth describes it was chosen [...]
You're probably reading this and thinking to yourself, wtf electro house/dubstep does NOT = Pendulum. Well I may be new to Vacay, but I am no nOOb. Indeed, Pendulum's new album Immersion incorporates songs that fall under house, dubstep, and even heavy metal! Pendulum's housey sounding track, The Island, is a two part song: dawn and dusk. Dawn has a catchy melody coupled with Rob Swire's smooth lyrical vocals. In Part 2, Dusk, we are re-introduced to the melody, but things get more funky and crazy. In Set Me On Fire, Pendulum harnesses the wobble and [...]

Ok... I promise I don't have a mancrush on Deadmau5. I know it seems like all the shit I've been posting involves him somehow. I'll try to stop. I PROMISE. Anyways, this is a mashup of a couple of other remixes/re-fixes/covers of "Ghosts & Stuff" - as always, I made this for a specific gig last month as a onetime deal and now you can have it to play out and impress your friends! Free Download... pass it around. spread the love. spread the love:

As we're in the run up to Halloween, I thought it would be a good idea to have some 'spooky' inspired posts - so I'm gonna set the ball rolling with the video to Ghosts 'N' Stuff by Deadmau5. Originally released last October this new version features the vocals of Pendulum 's Rob Swire. I really liked the original (which is instrumental) and was at first unsure of the vocals as they have that generic commercial house sound to them, but the more I listen to it the more they grow on me. The video is [...]
