Jimmy Fallon, was able to snag a very high profile guest for his show this past Tuesday with President Obama joining him on his Late Night show. Before sitting down for an interview, Obama dazzles the crowd by joining Jimmy for a round of Slow Jam the News. I may not be a huge fan of his policies, but I really enjoy his personality and the way he interacts with the public. He just seems like a good man, that loves his family and loves his country. Thanks to Jimmy's creativity, Obama's stone cold presence, and the Roots sweet jams, [...]

Here is the best clip you're likely to watch this week (or ever, if you're Jenn Pelly ) –– President Barack Obama, "the Barackness Monster," "the POTUS with the mostest," stopped by Fallon to "slow jam the news" with The Roots and Jimbo himself. Check it out below - Continue reading: Watch President Obama Slow Jam with The Roots & Jimmy Fallon Read more articles like " Watch President Obama Slow Jam with The Roots & Jimmy Fallon " on PMA | Pretty Much Amazing . Mark Seliger for Rolling Stone WASHINGTON (AP) - Offering riffs on Mick Jagger and reflections on race, President Barack Obama is capping a week devoted to courting young votes with a Rolling Stone magazine cover interview that segues from presidential musings on politics to foreign policy to pop culture . Sounding an election-year theme, Obama tells the magazine that Mitt Romney can't disavow the conservative views he embraced as candidate during the Republican presidential primaries. At the same time, he acknowledges that [...]
Well, Fallon is still the only late night show I carry to watch, mostly due to the fact that he has one hell of a killer band behind him called the Roots. Things got extra wild on last night's episode, as President Obama made a guest appearance to literally "slow jam" the news. Complete with the Roots behind him, as well as Fallon, Obama, and Black Thought exchanging vocal duties, this one will certainly go down in history as a classic piece of television. The topic, of course, was fighting Congress from allowing interest rates on government-subsidized college loans from [...]
Barack Obama joined Jimmy Fallon and his house band The Roots last night, to make the case that the interest rates on subsidized student loans should remain low when they're re-evaluated by Congress this summer. ... read more
Presidential candidates (or the sitting POTUS) always seem pretty awkward when taking part in comedic segments. They want to get their message out while looking cool and relatable, but not absurd. This Obama edition of Slow Jam the News on Late Night smartly overcame that obstacle brilliantly last night. All Barack had to do was [...]
On last night's Jimmy Fallon and noted with little commentary. I'd like to think in an alternate universe where John McCain became president he too would slow jam the news with Jimmy Fallon. Politics aside, how does Mitt Romney watch this and think he's got a flying chance in hell of winning in November? [via stereogum ]
Last night, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon played host to the one guest who might potentially be more exciting than another Jawbox reunion: Barack Obama, the President of the United States of America. And Obama participated in a running Fallon sketch that might've been created expressly for him: Slow Jammin' the News. The sketch allowed him the chance to indulge in some old-school '70s-soul cool, collaborate with longtime supporters the Roots, and get across some of his ideas about holding down student-loan interest. His granite-faced delivery was great, and his mic-drop at the end was even better. [...]

"I'm President Barack Obama, and I, too, want to 'Slow Jam the News.'" Check out the POTUS speaking about his position on the student loan issue last night with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots . Enjoy!

Never a dull moment on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon . Last night, the late night host visited the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where one special guest happened to be, as well: President Barack Obama. In addition to slow jamming the news with The Roots, in which Obama aptly digressed on student loans, the once-in-a-lifetime performance was also supported by two appearances by Dave Matthews. The college-favorite songwriter joined Fallon for a cut of the host's past jingle, "Dorms, Shower Baskets, and The Walk of Shame", before premiering his own song, "Mercy", a new track off Dave [...]

The list includes Arcade Fire, the Roots, Wilco, Regina Spektor, and Vampire Weekend.

MTV reports that President Obama has "a wish list " of campaign supporters for his upcoming 2012 run for re-election and points to a document obtained by The Tennessean . The list includes, among others, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, Jay-Z, The Roots, Counting Crows (?), the Band Perry (??) and a boatload of other celebs, CEOs, musicians and Jonas Brothers. According to MTV, the Obama camp has not confirmed (or denied!) any of this, so keep that in mind as you scan this random smattering of a list. Despite the image, Lil [...]
Fox News does not approve of my potty-mouth "So, remember that post about The Roots doing the Obama rally I threw up this morning? In describing the awesomeness of The Roots, which is considerable, I used a certain bad word — a word so terrible that it is considered a 'bomb,' and is deeply offensive to everyone who hears it, even though it is rather frequently used in our amoral society." Everyone knows how much we—and the rest of Philadelphia—love The Roots . But we're also big fans of Washington, D.C.-based singer-songwriter, Barack Obama . We saw him a couple of times back in 2008, when it seemed like the up-and-coming artist was constantly on the road in support of his breakout album, Hope . Obama's touring schedule has cooled considerably since then, which only makes this performance—part of his new "Move America Forward" 2010 tour—on Sunday, October 10th (at the park next to Robert Fulton Elementary School) that much more of a can't-miss show. As [...]
