Over the past several years, London-resident Rob McAndrews has proven that he can make strikingly beautiful vocalist/beat hybrids that have more in common with a producer like Shlohmo than sometimes collaborator and fellow Londoner James Blake.   While these lofty vocal tracks are what have generally caught the public's eye, Airhead began producing low-end heavy club music for RAMP sub-label Brainmath years ago and stil trends in that direction every-so-often as can be seen on tracks like "Pyramid Lake" . After taking a victory lap last year in celebration of its 27th year in business , !K7 Records has announced it has signed a North American partnership with R&S Records, whose current roster including James Blake, Pariah, Lone and Blawan as well as a classic tracks by Ken Ishii, Biosphere, Joey Beltram, Jam & Spoon, Kenny Larkin, Juan Atkins and Derrick May. According to a statement issued by !K7, the label's New York-based team "will work closely to provide R&S and Apollo with physical and digital distribution in North America via !K72s structure with Redeye [...]

Influential electronic label, R&S Records have signed an alliance deal with the !K7 Label Group to expand the company in North America. The London-based imprint, founded in Belgium in 1983, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and has released music from the likes of Aphex Twin , James Blake and Delphic during their long history. There's a rare immediacy to Brighton resident Ruby Taylor's  Yumi And The Weather endeavour – the sort to capture the attentions of the ear and enrapture the mind all at once. Mine was aflutter with impatient designs to escape London, even from an inaugural play for the therefore aptly entitled Must I Wait proves oneiric, escapist pop at its most steadily elegant. London duo  Cloud Boat are something of a singular proposition, in that they arouse that raw emotivity of post-rock, and relocate its wistful tones and typically sepia hues to the barren desolation of much so-called post-dubstep stuff. Schoolmates and frequent touring buds of he who once regurgitated The Wilhelm Scream, that latter part is therefore of little wonder although as Blake appears to be stuttering somewhat of late , the pair to comprise Sam Ricketts and Tom Clarke continue to chart stupefyingly nebulous realms.
