Xylos (NYC) and King Kong (Louisville) are playing the Rudyard Kipling tonite, 7/16, at 9pm. The New York Times calls Xylos " vibrant and sinister" and says singer Katy B 'sings smoothly and sweetly'. King Kong might be considered a pleasant opposite of that.. but go find out for yourself tonight at the Rud.

They will be playing at The Rud at 9 pm with Typefighter and Tripping Scarlet. $5. head out tonight and show them how we support rock n' roll way down here in Kentucky. Local legend, Jim James , made a rare solo appearance in Louisville, Kentucky on October 1, 2009 at T he Rudyard Kipling as part of the three day Motherlodge Festival . I cannot convey how amazing it was. The Rud was packed from wall to wall with people standing on chairs that lined the room. While a few folks would occasionally verbal tweet their thoughts ("This is fucking amazing," "Oh my God, Jim James is right there," "Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim..."), the vibe was overall solid. Jim (or Yim) played throughout his catalog with a few from [...]
