The loop based band go for a very chill vibe on this one, as evident by the crashing waves of the video above. Great little way to start off another semester if you ask me. My favorite Japanese band, formerly known as Friends , has changed their name to Teen Runnings due to the whatever Brooklyn band that took the name. Why Does Everybody Do is of the same ilk - that is, sublime reverb-pop - as all their previous jams under the name Friends. Succulent and sweet, the straightfoward riffs are like fuzzy waterfalls, chugging along in perfect accord with the reverbed-out 'ooh oohs' of the doo-wop-pop vocals. We let you in on the little secret of Inspired and the Sleep a while ago . Today I found a new track freshly uploaded to Soundcloud and I was pretty excited. Everything that I loved when I first heard "While We're Young" is present and even amplified slightly. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, this brand of whimsical pop is absolutely off the charts - I'm not sure "Running" could find me in a bad mood. Stream and download below.

The solo project in question here is by a man recording as Pearl Fiction .
