Cursive made quite an impression back in 2009 with the release of their 6th studio album Mama, I'm Swollen . Bright Eyes just released the video for their first single off the just released album The People's Key . It doesn't get much simpler than the video for "Shall Games". Primarily focusing on the band and Oberst, the Nik Fackler directed video piles layers of video on top of each other giving it a bit of a delusional feel. As was mentioned last month on our Facebook page , Conor Oberst has named the album that he says will be his last under the Bright Eyes moniker. "Shell Games" really starts up where Cassadaga left off with Oberst's vocal being at the fore front and the accompaniment it just that, accompaniment to Oberst's signature quivering voice. Peach OtterSaddle Creek just released the first track by Conor Oberst from Bright Eyes' forthcoming album, The People's Key . This is the first (and last) album released under the moniker, Bright eyes. Though it's drastically different from all his previous albums, it's certainly uplifting, emphatic, and carries the same harmonious introspections of a sadly depressed artist with tigerlip lyrics and an ironic band name.
