Yes indeed, folks, it looks like Daft Punk will make their grand return (hopefully) very soon. During last night's  Saturday Night Live episode, a 15-second clip appeared featuring a funky new track from the French duo. No word yet on what the song's called, if it's off their new album or not, etc... but it definitely sounds good. By the way, those "rumors" that they signed with Sony/Columbia to release their next LP? Yeah, they were true. Watch the clip below.

Last night, you could have watched Alabama Shakes play the same song from two different settings on two different television channels at the same exact time. There is a significant debate going on in the United States today regarding gun control.  I won't bore you with the specifics of this debate, or my position regarding the debate, but it has reminded me of a related discussion involving Lynyrd Skynyrd back in the 1970s. In 1975, the group released their Nuthin Fancy album which featured a song called Saturday Night Special.  Let's listen......
