Kilo Kish is a relatively new artist who's worked with Odd Future subsidiaries like The Internet and Jet Age of Tomorrow , and has even appeared on tracks with Childish Gambino . Kish raps with the same syrupy restraint as Kitty Pryde while trying to sound casually heady. Her latest mixtape, K+ , is wrought with guest appearances and producers, which has garnered tons of attention. If you're [...]

Do you know who would be horrible at Wheel Of Fortune? SBTRKT . He'd never buy any vowels. He hates vowels. What he does like is making fresh beats and here is his latest track called "Terminal." It's short and repetitive but rumor is that it's possibly just a sample of something greater to come. At least we all hope. Connect with SBTRKT: Facebook | Twitter | Last.fm | Soundcloud

South London masked producer SBTRKT released a new tune just a few hours ago called "Terminal." You know it is going to be fresh as he mixes in dance/electronic/electro into one cohesive sound. This is also the first new song we've heard from him in a bit as well, but everyone can naturally assume he was working on new stuff. Stream the brand new cut below. Via Complex Fresh? [...]

It’s official. Sydney duo FISHING have been reeled in by the YES PLEASE crew as the boys have just signed to the label! Starting out in 2010, Doug Wright and Russell Fitzgibbon joined forces and starting writing melodic jams together, infused with blended samples, synthesisers and percussion. As a result, FISHING was born and could only be described as electronic, experimental and catchy as hell. To gain a better insight, the boys have described their music as if to say [...]

After contributing melodies alongside fellow British vocalist Sampha on SBTRKT ’s heralded debut album last year, Jessie Ware has unleashed her first album, Devotion . Devotion places an emphasis on R&B that has been seemingly untouched in recent past, filling the void between radio singers like Drake and electronic-heavy outfits like AlunaGeorge , earning Jessie comparisons to smoother singers like [...]

SBTRKT has posted a new song on his soundcloud and its a pretty little thing. This track feels a lot lighter than the material on the British producer's self-titled debut album . There is much less bass and a happier, brighter feel to it. Looks a bit like this underground mastermind is peeking out from his mask and evolving out of the dark clubs he once found so comfortable. Fingers crossed that SBTRKT keeps this kind of energy up- it suits him. I wonder what the next album will be like from [...]

UK music producer SBTRKT spontaneously shares some new sounds as he's getting back into the studio to get some new material together. This guy came out with one of my favorite albums of last year , so, of course, I'm excited to hear what he'll come up with next. I'm also curious as to how his production will hold up if he incorporates less vocal features on his forthcoming release, because it can't be denied that vocalists like Sampha helped make SBTRKT's debut LP what it is. In a big way. If "Gamelena" is a [...]
![[Listen] SBTRKT: "Gemelena"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4284172_lg.jpg)
We've already featured Young Wonder 's gorgeous video for "Orange" , but if any group was ever deserving of a full write-up, this duo are. There's Rachel Koeman, who provides the lyrics, melodies and the vocals themselves, and Ian Ring, who provides the musical foundations for it all. Between them, they can knock out some pretty killer music. In the course of my research, it transpired that Ian doesn't like crisps (that's chips to Statesiders; and yes, you could fairly describe my research as exhaustive). I'm not sure how much that [...]
Listen to Jessie Ware 's new song "What You Won't Do For Love" below. I don't know about you guys, but there aren't many things I won't do for the love of Jessie Ware 's music, or my cat. More so for my cat, just because he's cool and he's called Mr Miagi and we've got that human/cat/friend bond thing going on (he's currently upside down looking at me in agreement). With Jessie Ware it's her music that keeps me company, either in [...]
Listen to Gold Panda 's two new songs "Mountain" and "Financial District" below. U.K. producer Gold Panda is back with two new songs and a video, to make us feel extra super special. Both of these tracks will appear on a new 73 single released in June or if you're impatient, you can download them today. To my knowledge these are the first new tracks that aren't remixes since last year's "MPB" , though I'm sure I could've [...]
London-based vocalist Jessie Ware currently only has a few singles and a small handful of guest spots to her name, including one on that SBTRKT album from last year, but more from her is supposedly on the horizon for this year. In the mean time, you can hold yourself over with a remix for Jessie's "Running" single, brought to you by UK garage duo Disclosure. The group transforms the smooth contemporary R&B flavorings of the original into a pulsating house cut that might get even the stiffest music nerds dancing. You can hear [...]
Listen to SBTRKT 's take on Frank Ocean 's song "Whip Appeal" below. Last week SBTRKT played a show in New York, much tot he delight of everyone who lives in NY that we follow on Twitter (everyone seemed to be at it). At the show he played this edit of Frank Ocean 's track "Whip Appeal" , and in his own words "made this edit to play at my williamsburg gig last week in NY. its nothing [...]
This post is a "QuickPick". QuickPicks is our attempt at getting all of the music that's sent to us that we like (or just music we like but have no words for because it's so awesome!), out into the dubya dots, picked quickly. Less for you to read, more for you to hear. Artist: Joneses Genre: Mashup, Remix Links: Soundcloud | Tumblr
Tweet vaso link Directed by Sam Pilling, who also directed the videos for Usher's "Climax" and WU LYF's "We Bros," is back with direction on SBTRKT's video for "Hold On," the second track from his excellent 2011 self-titled album. I'll let the video speak for itself.
![[stream] SBTRKT // Surely](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4149037_lg.jpg)
Tweet vaso link I've said repeatedly that SBTRKT's self-titled 2011 release was a surprise for me. I'm not generally a fan of the looping electronica that the London producer puts out, but with the addition of Sampha's vocals on the majority of the album, it clicked for me. Nearly two weeks ago now SBTRKT released this stream of a track that was on a bonus album that went along with last year's release. Despite its lack of vocals, [...]
![[Listen] – SBTRKT – “Surely”](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4132995_lg.jpg)
Listen to the new track from SBTRKT , "Surely" . Surely I can get a good gag out of a song title like this? Oh snap. Bad humour aside, London's SBTRKT has dropped a new track for us - it's called "Surely" , in case you missed that - and it's pretty fine. It leans more on the ambient and washy side of his sound, rather than the dark and dubby, but some really outstanding, tight drums ensure that there's plenty of groove to go [...]

The masked UK producer SBTRKT has just debuted an extra track titled 'Surely' since the release of his self titled debut album last year. Surely’ was apparently a bonus cut on the critically acclaimed LP- coming out as a B – side on the ‘Hold On’ single, but it has only just found its way onto the interweb. It features a pretty raw, under produced drum introduction with Sbtrkt’s trademark creamy organ synth over the top. The bassy undertone throughout gives a similarity to melodies off his debut record, as [...]
![[Review/Listen] – Burial – “Kindred EP”](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4075209_lg.jpg)
Tweet Something about Burial gets to me. Well really, everything about Burial gets to me. In a good way, of course. Where I live in America, Burial is not exactly a household name, except to those of us who follow the UK garage scene (or 'future garage'). Those of us who follow the UK garage scene know that a handful of artists dominate it right now, creating dark, off-kilter music that fits the often melancholy mood [...]
