After a short hiatus (it was May when he last graced us with a new track ), SBTRKT is back with a brand new cut titled "Gloss". The three-minute track is very minimalist, but it works so well in this situation. Simple synth repetitions and subtle percussion make this perfectly fitting for those late nights. The tiki masked music mages of SBTRKT just reappeared in the musical blogosphere's sound waves with a new release : " Gloss ". Although we all grooved to their remixes of Little Dragon and Mark Ronson, adding hype to hip, this time the two disguised turntable masters deliver a purely instrumental track reminiscent of Gold Panda, in competition with the newcomers Koi and Beat Culture. Smooth and mellow, the track bears its name most appropriately, the catchy rhythm and base line being the bright shine feature of this glossy piece.

Here's SBTRKT , our favorite masked producer (probably), appearing out of nowhere with a new jam. It's "Gloss", a slightly appropriate title given the shiny feel this has to it. It's also a touch dusty and hazy, meaning it's not that clean and slick. But it is. I know this doesn't make much sense, but just know this: "Gloss" is yet another strong new joint from SBTRKT, who hopefully has an EP or LP on the way soon.
