Obviously we love Jessie Ware –– we love her appearances on minimalistic art-step club bangers as much as we love her more maximalist original material , but we love nothing more than her unreal voice and the incredible gymnastics it does on track after track. Her new single is a Bobby Caldwell cover, “What You Won’t Do For Love,” a percolating slow-burner that’s part origin-appropriate ‘80s arpeggios and planar synths, part art-step echoed vocals, skittering effects, and pulsing drum machine (thanks to producer Sampha , who also works [...]
SBTRKT has put up a remix of Frank Ocean's "Whip Appeal." In his words, "its nothing crazy. just some beefed up production over an already dope track...." Well there you have it. London-based vocalist Jessie Ware currently only has a few singles and a small handful of guest spots to her name, including one on that SBTRKT album from last year, but more from her is supposedly on the horizon for this year. In the mean time, you can hold yourself over with a remix for Jessie's "Running" single, brought to you by UK garage duo Disclosure. The group transforms the smooth contemporary R&B flavorings of the original into a pulsating house cut that might get even the stiffest music nerds dancing. You can hear [...]
With the flurry of leaks hit the web, Frank Ocean has got to be at least a little bit pissed. To hopefully cheer him up, SBTRKT has whipped up a saucy remix to "Whip Appeal". Giving it the intense percussion and uptempo bass, the Ocean single now has some signature UK-producer flare. While I absolutely all the work SBTRKT has done with Sampha, I wouldn't mind an official collaboration between these two. Might just be a match made in heaven.

Tweet vaso link I've said repeatedly that SBTRKT's self-titled 2011 release was a surprise for me. I'm not generally a fan of the looping electronica that the London producer puts out, but with the addition of Sampha's vocals on the majority of the album, it clicked for me. Nearly two weeks ago now SBTRKT released this stream of a track that was on a bonus album that went along with last year's release. Despite its lack of vocals, [...]

Listen to the new track from SBTRKT , "Surely" . Surely I can get a good gag out of a song title like this? Oh snap. Bad humour aside, London's SBTRKT has dropped a new track for us - it's called "Surely" , in case you missed that - and it's pretty fine. It leans more on the ambient and washy side of his sound, rather than the dark and dubby, but some really outstanding, tight drums ensure that there's plenty of groove to go [...]

'Anonymous' producer SBTRKT throws yet another track us with the release of Surely , a mesmerising instrumental track. Like much of his recent work it's being released through Young Turks, and i'ts pretty darn great we must say. Featuring trademark wobbly bass and some pretty synth work, you'd be able to think of far worse ways to spend three minutes of your time. His last release, the single Hold On , was taken from 20112s self-titled debut album, which featured in numerous end-of-year lists. Listen below.
Behold the skittering glory of this new SBTRKT one-off single, "Surely." No info on this track yet, but going by the single artwork, the track should be out on Young Turks soon. SBTRKT have taken to their Soundcloud page to offer up a brand new track called "Surely" which sees the producer making some clean cut beats and heavy underlying bass. The track doesn't feature any soaring vocals like we've heard on previous tracks but it's well worth a few minutes of your time on a Monday morning. It looks like it will be released as a single via Young Turks if the image above is anything to go by.
Some new (to my ears at least) SBTRKT to kick off the week? Count me in. "Surely" actually served as a bonus cut off SBTRKT's self-titled debut last year, although it only ended up on a limited run of the album. I could see why this intense bass and drums track might not have fit on the album, but that doesn't stop banger from absolutely blowing me away on first listen. SBTRKT's self-titled debut album is out now.

Tweet Something about Burial gets to me. Well really, everything about Burial gets to me. In a good way, of course. Where I live in America, Burial is not exactly a household name, except to those of us who follow the UK garage scene (or 'future garage'). Those of us who follow the UK garage scene know that a handful of artists dominate it right now, creating dark, off-kilter music that fits the often melancholy mood [...]
![[Listen] SBTRKT - "Hold On" (Sisi BakBak Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4074353_lg.jpg)
SBTRKT has one hell of a busy 2012 scheduled and now some new sounds from his camp (kind of) this way come. A remix of his "Hold On" track has hit the net courtesy of a few sources. Now, the remix itself comes from Sisi BakBak. Anyone? No, well that's not surprising but word on the grapevine is that the remix comes from none other than Radiohead's Thom Yorke . KEXP's Cheryl Waters, who premiered the track, said that the person the remix came from is set to play Seattle's Key Arena. Radiohead play that very arena [...]
I have no idea who Sisi Bakbak is, but after spinning his latest remix of SBTRKT 's "Hold On", I am officially a fan. We are actually seeing speculations of it being Thom Yorke of Radiohead . Driving the track with a wide spectrum of percussion, Sisi molds Sampha 's vocal samples around the already fantastic track. This remix will be available next Monday, and we also have a set of visuals directed by Sam Pilling. Well, sort of. You will get what I mean when you check it out after the skip. Hit the [...]

Disclosure are my new fav for bassy, future funky house. "Tenderly" is a romantic awakening for bass tunes: A soulful vocal sample that beckons you into that rhythmic hip house flavour before it hits a percussive drop, laden with steel drums, broken kick, clicks and cow bell. Super stylish and highly accessible without compromising that juicy bass that pounds into your chest. Turn it up. "Flow" is a fireworks display of synth chords, bass pulses, and electric keys circa 1990. They really know how to nail the vocal selection and arrangement - it's got me really curious if [...]

You may recognize the name Roses Gabor from last year's " Pharaohs " by SBTRKT . Here I was thinking this was my first exposure to Gabor, but as I learned from her new mixtape The Wonderful World Of Roses Gabor Vol. 1, it turns out she provided the vocals to "Dare" by the Gorillaz to0. She's as versatile as she is smooth, and enjoyable on any style of production she sees fit. Featuring production from SBTRKT, Gorillaz, Boddika, Hudson Mohawke, Swindle, and Starkey, this mix will give you the bump you need to get through a [...]
On his 2011 self-titled record and the assorted non-album tracks he’s been dropping left and right since then, anonymous, genre-busting London producer SBTRKT is giving the UK’s art-dubstep trend a poppy, maximalist run for its money – to great effect, judging by the insane number of gushing timed comments on the stream of his latest leaked banger, “Atomic Peace,” which was just released on SBTRKT’s Soundcloud page though it was recorded in 2009. Before we got our hands on SBTRKT 's self-titled full-length debut, the producer behind the mask was known for mostly releasing limited-run EPs and vinyls. After gaining a ton of fame from singles like " Wildfire " (which was remixed by Drake ), it is up in the air where this UK musician is going to take his sound next. What we do know, though, is that he has a ton of heaters in the vault. Example one, "Atomic Peace", a track that was cooked up back in 2009 but didn't make it out to the world due [...]
![[Listen] SBTRKT - "Atomic Peace" (Unreleased Track From 2009)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4002421_lg.jpg)
Last night SBTRKT took to their Soundcloud page to let loose a track that's older than anything we've previously heard from them. Dating back to 2009 the track titled "Atomic Peace" which he debuted on Mary Anne Hobbs show in '09 but never got to release it because of a Sample it uses. 3 years later we get to enjoy it. See what you think below. SBTRKT's self titled debut long player is out now. sbtrkt - atomic peace (2009) by sbtrkt

Tweet Listen to SBTRKT 's new song "Atomic Peace" below. London based producer, and creator of our 16th favourite album of 2011 , SBTRKT has just dropped a new track onto his Soundcloud. Well, actually it's an oldie: the track, called "Atomic Peace" , was recorded in 2009 and has only previously featured in an XFM guest mix . Gone are the skittish beats of "Sanctuary" or [...]
![[Listen] SBTRKT Visits Radio One's Live Lounge](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3970524_lg.jpg)
We like Friendly Fires and we like SBTRKT so when they said they were to team up it seemed like only good things could come in the future. Now is the future, kind of. We don't have the full collaborations just yet but in BBC Radio One's Live Lounge, SBTRKT debuted a reworking of Friendly Fires' "Blue Cassette". As well as that whilst in the Live Lounge he performed an awesome rendition of "Hold On" taken from his impressive debut. Peep them both below via the ever wonderful Young Turks . [...]
