Yesterday The Alchemist released his new LP, Russian Roulette .  The album is a non-stop 30 minutes of old-school eastern european music turned into dirty Hip Hop featuring all your favorite emcees in the scrunch-your-face-indie genre (who some shit like that). The Alchemist's Russian Roulette is an exciting release for a number of reasons. One that takes the cake is the collaboration between said producer and two of hip-hop's finest MCs, ScHoolboy Q and Danny Brown. With Jason Goldwatch behind direction, the visuals for "Flight Confirmation" have now landed. And, as expected from any Goldwatch project, this piece is way out there. But entirely appropriate for this banger of a track.  Russian Roulette is out now.

The Alchemist launches a new cut off his upcoming compilation LP, Russian Roulette , drafting in relative new boys (well, relative to Al, anyways) Danny Brown and ScHoolboy Q to grace 'Flight Confirmation'. The tune is quintessential Alchemist, with a slow tempo and some hypnotic, exotic samples (read: a woman speaking in a language I don't understand) setting the table for DB and Q. Alchemist is preparing his concept album Russian Roulette for July 17th via Decon Records, which features samples of Russian songs on all the tracks: A collection of 30 tracks woven into a tapestry of insanely obscure samples and jaw-dropping verses from the top names of indie rap’s recent resurgence Danny Brown, Schoolboy Q, Action Bronson, Evidence, Roc Marciano, Mr. MFN. eXquire, Boldy James, and more.
