Van Scott was right on when he dropped me an email tonight suggesting that I might like these tracks. They're all remixes of the Drlkt Freddie track "Airtight" and they're all pretty sweet, each in their own way. I like the vocals because they're reminicsent of One More Time from Daft Punk's Discovery, and I'm sure that the Airtight track (particularly the Tronik Youth remix) would have fit perfectly in Interstella 555: Secret Star System. I don't really have any complaints about last night's Battlestar Galactica series finale. It was wholly satisfying on a visceral and emotional level. After 17 years on the air, Sci Fi Channel is changing it's name and doing away with it's iconic Saturn logo as seen right over there. See it! See it! That's great logo work. I have never seen an episode of Star Trek. I've always laughed at Trekkies, not with them. But, I have to admit that this trailer makes me want to see J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie. The two moments in this trailer that have me geeked out are when the planet folds into itself and when James T. Kirk sits down in the Captain's chair for the first time. Star Trek is in theaters on May 8.
On the surface, the show seems to be a feminist coup: the president is female, the best fighter pilot is a tough-talking woman, etc. It's a show that seems plush with strong, female roles.
