Unless I'm wrong, L.A. producer (and rapper) Scoop DeVille is getting ready to drop a compilation of remixes called Scoopaloops Vol. 1 . He posted a hint at that project while sharing a woozy flip of Hall & Oates classic "One on One". It just might make you hit pause on that new Daft Punk album stream for the next 10 minutes or so, especially if you grew up on music like this as a kid. If not, well, this still deserves your attention, especially if Scoopaloops Vol. 1 is indeed [...]

It's been a huge past few week for Kendrick Lamar 's " Poetic Justice " single featuring Drake that was produced by Scoop DeVille. It went gold last Wednesday and last night, DeVille wrote that the song went No. 1 on urban radio across the States. To celebrate, he decided to liberate the track's instrumental with the following note: "i really appreciate all the major love the record is receiving . Cheers, Scoopaloop" Cheers indeed, sir. I just hope this beat doesn't get ravaged by every rapper [...]

Originally Digital Diamonds was just Scoop n the Wayniac , now they've added on Chuck Inglish , the former Cool Kid. Without a doubt Inglish took part in the production here. Each verse is fire, the production is 100% on point. I'm excited to see how this unfolds, I know Jonwayne especially is proud of this one. Don't sleep on it.

I gotta give props to my main chick Potholes In My Blog for hipping me to the first Digital Diamonds track "In Spite" last year, back when DD was just the L.A. duo Scoop Deville and Jonwayne. They've since added Chuck Inglish (!) to the mix for this new new, "Delirious." It's got some definite Cali flavor ("In the Impala bumpin' 2pac") but with a menacing, eerie tone that contrasts the stereotypical sunshine and palm trees sound that out-of-state artists use when they want a "California song" for their album. As a Californian, I hate those [...]

BREAKING: Chuck Inglish has formed a new group with Scoop Deville and Jonwayne, entitled Digital Diamonds. Sounds interesting, right? Let's hope it works out better than Pulled Over By The Cops . Ha! #NeverForget Check out Digital Diamonds first offering as a trio below: HHNM The post Scoop DeVille, Chuck Inglish & Jonwayne – Delirious appeared first on Fake Shore Drive .

Scoop DeVille and Jonwayne had previously joined forces under the name Digital Diamonds for " In Spite ", a joint that we hoped would lead to more collaborations between the two. Well, they're back and they have brought a new member on board: Chuck Inglish . That's right, Digital Diamonds is now a trio and to set things off properly, they just dropped a straight-up banger in "Delirious". Yeah, this one f*cking goes . Listen below.
Most recently, Scoop DeVille and Mibbs, of Pac Div, linked when the producer provided the heavy-as-hell beat for " Bank " off last year's GMB . But their time together didn't end there, as they recently hit the studio to record some more material. And as one track quickly led to another, the duo apparently gathered enough music to compile at least an EP. They're calling the project Freebass , which DeVille says is filled with heavy bass, avant-garde sounds, and plenty of grime. You can watch him and Mibbs discuss the project [...]

Justin Timberlake was able to work his way into the blogosphere this week when some people actually watch his " Suit & Tie" lyric video until the end. It was then that he revealed the release date of his comeback album, The 20/20 Experience , to be *drum roll* March 19. Some other bigger news to hit the web came from some of the top festivals in the States, including Paid Dues , Coachella , and Governors Ball . There's that whole thing going on between the Rastafari [...]

Back in 1931 in Clarksdale, Miss., one of the most influential soul/R&B artists was born. And had he not been shot and killed some 33 years later, Sam Cooke would be celebrating his 72nd birthday today, Jan. 22. The smoky voiced singer-songwriter paved the way for everyone from Otis Redding to Al Green to Aretha Franklin, all of whom cited Cooke as a major inspiration for their sound and style. To honor the life and music of the King of Soul, we reached out to some of our favorite producers to pay homage to his legacy on our [...]

Theophilus London To kick off AiMT 2012 , I got some help from the homey DJ E-Yo , who hosts KXUA 's The Concrete Schoolyard . That's a hip-hop show I created around 10 years ago. I held it down for four years (tops), but E-Yo has kept the name going for an additional six. By all accounts, the show is his now, and he owns it like I never owned it. Check it out on the KXUA stream every Thursday night from 8 until 10 [...]

You might (should?) know Scoop DeVille for his work with the likes of, oh, Kendrick Lamar and Pac Div . And even though the West Coast producer is further showcasing his musical chops as part of Watercolor Werewolf, he's branching out considerably on this three-track EP with vocalist Michael Sterling Eaton. Transmissions from the 5th Dimension is unlike anything we've heard from Scoop before and it's apparently a preview of a full-length project comin' from the duo later this year. You can stream and/or download the project via the widget below.
