It's time to listen to a bunch of the tracks I have not posted recently. Here is the next NOT POSTED mix. These are just a few of the songs that would get their own individual posts here on GIMME TINNITUS if I only had the time. You can stream (and scrobble ) all the songs in this mix using the ex.fm player at the bottom of the page OR you can just download any or all of the tracks at your leisure and play them using a digital media player of your [...]
A few months ago, I stumbled upon the work of Sea Things when I heard See Thangs and became hypnotized by the synths and drums dwelling within the album. It was that kind of "is it hip-hop? is it electronic? OK, what is it?" type of listens that could have been alienating, but kept me coming back for more. So with that in mind, you know for damn sure that I was keeping an eye on dude's upcoming projects. And wouldn't you know it, the Sarasota, Fla. producer has dropped some a brand-new EP, [...]
The Mallard, appearing at Sound on the Sound's 5th Anniversary Show, is starting a wee little tour up the West Coast with her new drummer Dylan Tidyman-Jones in tow. Few shows, good times, hard rock. During the build-up the talented lass has been dropping a handful of musical suggestions in to my lap (more on [...]
Towards the end of last year, Sea Things featured on The Point of Everything, after appearing on Altered Zones, with a "barrage of sounds and noises morphed into something otherworldly". Things haven't changed for Sea Things' Jaws EP. Just like Sea Thangs, their debut album, it's free, though you can [Read more]

If not, allow "A.M." to be the introduction to this South Florida beatsmith. It's never too late to get on the bandwagon, especially when it's just beginning to pick up steam. Sea Things is flexing a extensive cache of styles on his See Thangs record, but we want to commend him for bringing back the "chipmunk effect" on "A....

This Sea Things track, ‘A.M.’, sounds like an aquatic electronic mind-storm. It’s like Battles playing electro-ragga underwater. The band’s album, ‘See Thangs’, is out now and you can check it out over at Bandcamp . In the meantime, listen to the song here: ‘A.M.’

So this blog seems to have gone to hell, well I guess my life has in a sense as well. So many changes have happened lately, I can't even begin to fill you in on them all. The most telling one is, however, that I'm spending 10 hours a day at work and too few at home in front of my own, personal computer doing what I want with my time. It's a good thing, in the big picture, there's increasing evidence that this will pay off and get me a permanent position if not at this company, then somewhere [...]

Sea Things Sea Things is Florida-based producer Micheal Floering, who pools together an array of influences from shoegaze to LA sampletronica to I Am A Robot And Proud-esque gameboy chirps, to create sample collages of considerable variety and imagination, with tracks alternating between abrasive, cluttered, meditative and atmospheric. Driftwalk, off his downloadable album ’ See Thangs ’, falls under the more peaceful category, shuffling along calmly with breezy percussion and swelling synth chords. Sea Things - Driftwalk
