El próximo 2 de octubre Flying Lotus lanzará un nuevo álbum titulado Until the Quiet Comes . Justo como adelanto de este nuevo material, les presentamos un cortometraje dirigido por Kahlil Joseph , que como podrán imaginarse, está musicalizado con algunos tracks del disco: “See Thru to U” , “Hunger” y “Getting There” . El cortometraje resulta contrastante, ya que nos muestra a niños y adultos en medio de situaciones un tanto densas, de pandillas y demás. A ver qué les parece.

Sonic adventurer Flying Lotus has dropped a new track from his forthcoming album, Until the Quiet Comes , and it features the terrific Erykah Badu on vocals. I also suspect Thundercat may have something to do with the bassline. The first single from 'Until The Quiet Comes', the upcoming album of producer extraordinaire Flying Lotus. This track hints at a more refined, mellow approach to production from the LA man, who's previous more experimental sounds have given him many accolades. Perhaps this is where it has all been builing up to, a discovery of sounds before determining which path he wishes to travel. The silky voice of Erykah Badu partners FlyLo's instrumentation (which also uses the unmistakable Thundercat - a Brainfeeder label signee - on the bass) and this is a precursor to a collaboration album in [...]

Flying Lotus and Erykah Badu on a track together? That'll work. Of course, when you get a couple of creative types like these two into a studio, there's a pretty good chance they're not going to come back with the same old, same old. And I certainly wouldn't call 'See Thru To U' a stock-standard tune. A rich, textured beat from FlyLo complete with some frantic cymbal crashes and a blissed-out Badu make for some good listening, with a heavy jazz vibe in place. 'See Thru To [...]

The new Flying Lotus record, Until the Quiet Comes , won’t be out until October 2nd, but we can now hear the 1st song off it, the Erykah Badu assisted, “See Thru To U”. It’s jazzy, spiraling, and intricately woven together. The percussion is on another level as well, full of perky tribal instances.
