The Shins just premiered a new song on Record Store Day's website . September will be the b-side of a 7-inch release for Simple Song out next week. Check it out below. Having dropped Simple Song in January, we now have more new Mercer in the form of its b-side, September. It's a woozy acoustic number with some some great western electric guitar noodles and of course an airy vocal from Mercer himself in which he admits 'i've been selfish and full of pride' . Indeed. A few weeks back, The Shins released Simple Song , a single from the band's upcoming album called Point of Morrow . Today, it's B-side track, September , has been released in a visual format. September is pretty much just an acoustic guitar song with lead singer James Mercer's vocals driving the song. Watch the video above to hear the song. The album is due out on March 20.
