Adding to the list of Portland artists that you will soon be hearing about, King Clifton   is the type of artist that avoids trickery and sticks to writing solid rock music. Classic rock music, the type that could stand up against any generation of songwriters. Below is a visual introduction to his music. One of the many cool things about living in Portland is that we get to hear great bands before the rest of the world does. Palmas is one of those bands. We've had the pleasure seeing them perform throughout the city and they are a breath of fresh air. Imagine if James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) and Timbaland had really interesting sex, and afterwards one of them got pregnant... and then gave birth... not necessarily to a human baby, but a mythical smoke monster that made fucking awesome music for people to dance to. I've been playing and replaying all things Yeasayer for the last month or so and I'm so excited about this new track. Check out "Longevity" from Yeasayer's upcoming new album,  Fragrant World . Great song, great video... Like, really fucking great video. I don't think people understand how dope this is... Should have 1 million views by now, but people are too busy watching cover videos of Bustin Jeiber songs (yes I meant to spell it that way). Do yourself a favor and watch this.
