Last weekend the world was treated to a fantastic pair of performances from The Shins who are readying the release of their brand new studio album, Port of Morrow . With The Shins set to release their new album Port of Morrow on March 20th, they got an early jump on previewing it for the world as they dropped by Saturday Night Live on March 10th. They played two new songs 'Simple Song & 'It's Only Life', off the new album. It is sure nice to have these guys back after a 5 year break. Check out their upcoming tour schedule here .

Yet another song surfaced from James Mercer and the gang two days ago. "Bait and Switch" is a bouncy number off their upcoming album,  Port of Morrow . The video features rehearsal footage filmed in a Portland cabin, so nothing terribly exciting, but at least it's more from The Shins !.  Port of Morrow  is set to drop March 20th via Columbia Records and Mercer’s own  Aural Apothecary  imprint. The Shins dropped a second listen (with visuals) from the much awaited and excitement inducing Port of Morrow and it sounds amazing.
