On March 20, 2012 , Anti-Flag will be releasing their eighth studio album, The General Strike . The 13 tracks that comprise the bands 8th studio album are described as " their most aggressive to date with influences ranging from hardcore to modern folk punk. Anti-Flag and Hostage Calm have announced that they will be playing a handful of shows in Germany in April leading up to Belgium's Groezrock Festival . Anti-Flag recently finished recording their follow-up album to 2009's The People or the Gun. . Hostage Calm's most recent effort is their 2010 album Hostage Calm .

The Horrible Crowes , which features Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem and Ian Perkins, have posted their video for "Ladykiller." The song comes from the band's 2011 debut Elsie .

Side One Dummy Records has announced that they are auctioning off a number of their test pressings , including records by artists such as Big D and the Kids Table , The Gaslight Anthem , Chuck Ragan , The Bouncing Souls , Gogol Bordello , The Casualties , and more. All the proceeds from the Big D and the Kids Table auction will go to Big D vocalist Dave McWane, who was recently diagnosed with throat cancer . Earlier this month, Anti-Flag talked about their next full length and yesterday a video surfaced of a new track from the album. The song, "1915" was recorded during the band's performance at Mr. Small's Theater in Millvale, PA.

Hidden Talent Booking has just released a statement that the current Big D and the Kids Table UK tour with Random Hand is cancelled due to health concerns: "Yesterday Big D's singer, Dave received a phone call informing him that he has throat cancer and must return to America immediately to have an operation. The band are currently driving from Barcelona to the UK To fly home. There isn't much else they can do as I'm sure you will all understand. Dave is a very positive guy and I know he'll fight this." WFUV has posted a performance from Brian Fallon 's The Horrible Crowes earlier this week. The actual full band performance was recorded for radio in early September and appeared online last week. The band performed "Teenage Dream" and "Lady Killer" and dropped a little The Cure in there as well. Horrible Crowes continue to support their debut album, Elsie .

In a new interview , Anti-Flag 's Justin Sane confirmed that the band has completed work on their follow up to The People or the Gun. which was released in 2009. Sane said this: We already recorded [the new album]. We have the record already finished. We need to tweak it a little bit, but it's just about done. [It's coming out on] Sideonedummy. We have had a positive experience there so far. The band just wrapped up a tour with NOFX.

Along with his upcoming shows supporting Social Distortion , Hot Water Music co-frontman and solo artist Chuck Ragan has announced a set of dates on his own when SD takes some time off their tour to support the Foo Fighters later this month. Ragan is supporting his recently released album, Covering Ground and just wrapped the European edition of the Revival Tour.

Side One Dummy Records has signed We Are the Ocean . The London, England-based band was described by the label: " anthemic melodies in the vein of Foo Fighters and Rise Against with undertones of the aggression found in post-hardcore bandslike Thrice and Alexisonfire. ." The label will be releasing the band's Go Now And Live on CD on February 28th, 2012 and an iTunes-version is available now . Following the release of their new video for "It's Raining Zombies on Wall Street," Dave McWane of Big D and the Kids Table spoke to AMP Magazine about the Occupy Wall Street protests and his reaction to the materialization of the song's lyrics: "'It's Raining Zombies On Wall Street' – is a song about just that. Kingston, PA's Title Fight have announced Missed . The flexi vinyl 7-inch will be released on November 21st via Side One Dummy Records and will include b-sides "Missed" and "Dreamcatchers." Missed can be pre-ordered here . Title Fight is currently on the AP Tour with Four Year Strong , The Swellers , Gallows and SHARKS . They released Shed earlier this year.

Naples, FL's Fake Problems recently performed two new songs for The Ruckus ' Ampersand Sessions. Frontman, Chris Farren performed two acoustic versions of two songs entitled "I Was 16 Years Old" and "Get Your Hopes Up". Farren also recently performed a new song, "Never Shoulda" for Punks In Vegas which can be found here . Fake Problems are currently on tour with Never Shout Never.
