It's been three plus days since Outside Lands came to an end and i've needed every minute of it to fully recover. This was my first legitimate music festival and it was a lot to take in. With that said, I would do it all over again this weekend if I could. Duo Arni & Kinski si vybrali na ztvárnění skladbu Rembihnútur (v překladu 'uzel, který se nedá rozvázat'). A strong, passionate track from the new Defense Family 73, which was recorded in Iceland at a studio owned by Sigur Ros, and the session was even engineered by the band's frontman, Jón Þór Birgisson. Now the song itself delivers SDF's usual combo of loud guitars with a harmonious edge, and the stellar vocals of Patrick Kindlon. Yeah, he's not exactly singing in a traditional sense, but his hybrid of spoken word and emotional shouts are pretty gripping, so are the lyrics. Damn, the story on this track is depressing. When I caught word of Sigur Rós releasing a video for one of my favorite tracks from their new album, Valtari , I got pretty excited to see what kind of visuals the band had attached to the beautiful, fragile piano piece. I was shocked to find an intensely avant-garde loaded with NSFW images and Shia LaBeouf playing a lead role. As ridiculous as concoction of elements, there's actually a strange beauty to this piece, and the unlikely beginning gets explained through the video's, uh, "storyline" as it progresses through an argument, [...]
Sigur Rós 'Valtari' Mystery Film Experiment , jak už sám název napovídá, je filmový projekt navázaný na poslední desku Valtari islandské skupiny Sigur Rós vydané na konci května. Konceptem bylo oslovit dvanáct filmových režisérů a natočit 12 videoklipů ke skladbám alba Valtari. První z nich spatřil světlo světa pár dní před vydáním alba 25. května.
