Last night, Sigur Rós performed in their homeland for the first time in four years for the Iceland Airwaves festival. Marking this special occasion, the band treated the crowd by performing a brand new song, titled "Brennisteinn." Despite the competition aspect coming to a close with the winning video for "Fjögur píanó", Sigur Rós ' "Valtari Mystery Film Experiment" continues with a new video from director Clare Langan. Differing from the possessed nature of Melika Bass' visuals for "Varðeldur", Langan's take uses a high speed camera to full effect in an attempt to capture the "fragility of the human condition, frozen somewhere between life and death". We've seen a number of "artsier than thou" videos from Sigur Rós recently because of their Valtari Mystery Film Experiment competition, which asked directors and film makers to conjure up videos with the small budget they're given for tracks off of Sigur Rós' album, Valtari .
