For the seventh entry in their Mystery Film Experiment serious, ineffable Icelandic quartet Sigur Rós releases "Varðeldur" a haunting video directed by filmmaker Melika Bass. To accompany the band's wordless, melancholic, piano-driven single, Bass crafted, "a film portrait of an unstable entity in a haunted vessel, drawn into and floating away from a siren song." Sigur Ros on-going Mystery Film Experiment continues with the newest installment of 'Vardeldur' which you can view below. 'Vardeldur' is the 7th track so far that has been given a mystery film video. Director Melika Bass states that the video is "a film portrait of an unstable entity in a haunted vessel, drawn into and floating away from a siren song." Continuing with the Sigur Rós mystery video experiment and following up " Ég anda ", " Fjögur píanó ", Rembihnútur " and another version of " Varúð ". This one features a blonde strutting through the streets on Manhattan. The beautifully shot video was directed by Ryan McGinley and if you head over here you can see what he has to say about it.

Sigur Ros has released another video for their project to "make the artsiest music videos ever possible ever." The second video is for the song " Varúð ." The video includes a young girl running aimlessly through the streets of Manhattan. Some favorite scenes include 1:53 where the glittery-haired (super sweet wig, by the way) girl is running across a still shot of the Highline Park, as if running through a painting; 3:12 running through Chinatown; 3:32 running down the Westside Highway; and my personal favorite, the climax of the track, 5:20 running past Katz's [...]
