MUSIC NEWS - The inimitable rock 'n' soul sextet Foxy Shazam has just announced the release of their self-titled Sire Records album on April 13, 2010. It's being produced by John Feldmann, and will be Foxy Shazam is the Cincinnati, OH band's major label debut. After the release of their "Unstoppable" single , Foxy Shazam have now announced the details of their first full-length major label album. Sire Records will put out the self-titled album from the Cincinnati band on April 15. Leading up to the album's release, the band will be heading out on tour, including a date at The Studio at Webster Hall in New York City on March 29 and another at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on March 31. Though there is no official release date for Foxy Shazam 's full-length major label debut, Au Contraire (which is still slated for release in spring of 2010), but the band have announced another single from the upcoming record. The tour will raise awareness about his deeply personal documentary, Dear Jack , which chronicles the year that Andrew, then 22, spent battling leukemia while trying to release Jack's Mannequin's 2005 debut album, Everything in Transit .
