Featurecast's remix of Public Enemy was one of my songs of the summer. But Skrillex generally leaves me cold. So, how's Featurecast going to manage on a Skrillex remix? Rather well as it turns out. Free download. Featurecast (Southampton's Lee Mintram) takes the electro dubstep original and gives it a complete breaks funking going over. Speeds the pace up a bit to leave a bass-heavy but otherwise lithe and discoified track. Niiiiiice. The original's here: http://www.featurecast.co.uk/
Skrillex and Nero teamed up to drop a massive remix of Monsta's "Holdin On". Simply putting Skrillex on a track seems to make it gold these days. He's killing the game, and we're here to bare witness. Tweet

Review by D (now @danutakurk) This is a preview apparently. It lasts 1.57. I'm assuming the entire track lasts five or six minutes. Judging by this, that would be a hellish eternity. I just don't get it. Screeching synths that scrape and scream like a thousand nails on a blackboard, a thumping, clunking, bass beat hammering the crap out of any subtle variation that dare poke its head above the parapet, hysterical siren sounds further swelling the already hideous cacophony before the 'I'm a gangsta, me!' utterly pedestrian rapping emerges to further torture the unfortunate listener. This is music to [...]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =Ii98e_zDBuU After their last wildly successful treatment of Promises, Nero and Skrillex have teamed up again for a remix of "Holdin' On" by MONSTA. To be released on OWSLA , the collaboration drops a faster drumstep drop over MONSTA's raw vocals. After Skrillex hinted at it on Facebook yesterday , Zane Lowe played it as the "hottest record in the world". You be the judge. [...]
After releasing the preview of his remix of Skrillex & Damian Marley's epic collaboration together on "Make It Bun Dem," Feature Cuts decided to release it as a free download for everyone to enjoy. Many have been saying his remix is the best remix of the song thus far, with Butch Clancy's remix coming in a close second, so you know this one is not one to miss! This track is currently in the official Beatport remix contest for "Make It Bun Dem"... Vote on Beatport here! [...]

In light of the holiday coming up at the end of the month, I'm going to release some Monsta on you. We posted the original of Monsta's Holdin On a few weeks back, and as promised the Skrillex & Nero Remix has arrived. Monsta was signed by Skrillex under his record label, OWSLA , and after the un-official release of their new album, Skrillex promised the public the remix would be soon to come. Here it is, in true Skrillex fashion, he crunches shit up [...]

/ / / / It is a bit nostalgic for me to see the name Skrillex or Nero in front of the word Remix these days. Almost like seeing the name Avicii between the parentheses a year ago. Not to say or comment anything negative about the former nor the latter, but Dubstep , so it seems, is in its (dare I say) home stretch. I can say with the same fond tone and memory, " I remember when I used to headbang to Skrillex and Nero " and " Damn the [...]

Say hello to Monsta .. the latest group discovered by Skrillex and signed to his incredible OWSLA record label.. A 3 piece live electronic group based out of London, UK. Skrillex discovered the group at South By Southwest, and instantly got atracted to lead singer "Skaar"'s powerful vocals, stating "His vocals are so raw and so pristine he can just walk up to any mic…. he just sounds like fucking angels are singing." the trio have their debut release Monsta EP is going to be released on his OWSLA [...]
The weekend has come and gone, and now you're deep into your weekly grind. Never fear, Wobble Wednesday is back with more of your favorite face-melting bass drops to help you make the most of your mundane lifestyle. Today I'll be guiding you along through the many variations of bass music that we see these days, new and old. I wanted to turn the Wobble Wednesday feature into more than just a section for today's dubstep, so I decided it was only right to incorporate some drum & bass as well as a summer time mix of the week section [...]

The leaves are starting to change, and the air is starting to feel cooler. That's right, football season is here. And what better way to celebrate the return of the country's favorite Sunday past time than with a Madden playlist? The EA Sports football franchise began way back in 1988, with it's first release for Apple II computers, and it has certainly come a long way. Through the years, it has managed to build a huge fan base, while continuing to improve the game. Adding new features and better graphics has been the series' mantra as it has become [...]

Honestly there's not very many things in this world that rustle my jimmies but one of the few happens to be walking through a cave or tunnel and running into a Zubat every three goddamn steps. Seriously, who was the one that said "Hey, let's make it so they that they run into so many Zubats they want to throw their Gameboy against the wall." Anyways, here's this week's electronic music that I enjoyed listening to. The Remixes So G.O.O.D. music's new collaboration album just leaked a couple days ago and there [...]

Skrillex teamed up with Damian Marley earlier this year to make a ground breaking collaboration "Make It Bun Dem". Besides blending reggae and dubstep in ways nobody though was possible, it also seriously put Damian Marley back on the map. We featured the After Hours remix package of the track featuring some very eerie and chaotic tracks from producer like Alvin Risk and Brodinski. Now the track got a full production music video with an interesting twist as usual (see above). It shows a family getting evicted, then a native american [...]

If you weren't up before, you're fucking up now. ACCRO 's doing his job like someone is about to snatch it from him, and he's aimed his scope at the new Skrillex / Damien Marley single, Trappin' it out (with some heavyweight dubstep leanings thrown in for good measure). Looks like there's a competition over on Beatport? Let heads know you fucks with THIS version . You will not be disappointed!
