Skrillex and Damien Marley have been absolute inspirations to their genres with work that has been unparalleled over the years. With recent projects such as the ReGeneration Music Project, in which Skrillex was set up with musical geniuses from other genres, Sonny Moore also got the opportunity to work reggae into his music with a collaborative piece with Damien Marley . Make It Bun Dem , the track they came up with did incredibly, with an overall spot #1 on Beatport and at practically every music festival known to man, for the weeks following. [...]

It takes a hefty set of cohonies and an unashamed amount of testistical fortitude to put on this display... But if there is a certain team to do it, then it would have to be the band of merry men named Culprate, Brodinski, French Fries, Alvin Risk, Finch and David Heartbreak + the enablers of dancefloor admiration, exhilaration and veneration in Skrillex and Damian “Jr, Gong” Marley. It is their imagination that binds us, and their pleasure that moves us. ‘Make It Bun Dem’ has just been re-polished officially.
A year after his breakout debut EP, Zomboy is back with an incredible follow-up on Never Say Die Records that greatly reflects his ever developing talents. With 'The Dead Symphonic' Joshua Mellody proves that he is more than just a another young dubstep producer, as the EP spans multiple-genres, including an electro track with Daft Punk-esc melodies and a moombah infused drumstep banger. No matter the BPM, Zomboy truly showcases his ability to build intricate layers of sound (not surprising seeing how he studied Music Production and has a sound engineering background). Take a listen and [...]

I fell in absolute love with this song ten seconds into it. Let alone the band. MONSTA , the trio (producers Rocky and Rufio and vocalist Bryn Christopher ) released their first EP on the electronic dance music (EDM) star’s indie imprint OWSLA summer 2012. The energy in this song picks up so high and doesn't fade throughout. It keeps Holdin On . Funny enough that's the name of this track, Holdin On . MONSTA was discovered by non other than Skrillex the Great. This quote [...]

Originally only working on his solo project "Place Your Bet$," Joshua Mellody aka Zomboy has moved to the UK to study a degree in Music Production at The Academy of Music (aka ACM). While there he has grown to love electronic music, particularly focusing in the heavy, grimy, genre of dubstep. Creating his first piece of electronic music just six months prior to signing to the UK record label Never Say Die , which manages some of the heaviest hitters in the dubstep/electronic world including SKiSM, Foreign Beggars, and 501 to name a few. Zomboy has worked along side them, [...]
Bristol's KOAN Sound unveil an offbeat dubstep gem.

YEEEUUUUPPPP, one of my favorite tracks has just been remixed, chica-yeah. Alvin Risk remixed Skrillex and Damian Marley's jam Make It Bum Dem and its sooooo effing good I cant take it. As if this godly reggae dub track couldn't get any better, Alvin Risk threw a remix on it...and actually made it better. With a more apparent electro vibe and slightly less wompage this smooth and new mix will have you groovin all week long and guaranteed to make your earz wet. Enjoy !

HAM. For sure my favorite Alvin Risk remix since Kaskade’s ‘Eyes’. This ‘Make Them Bun Dem’ remix gives mercy the silent treatment, beginning with a gripping introduction and familiar vocal edits that make way for an onslaught of mean bass jabs and tearing synths. A trap influence is highly apparent in this track starting at the 1.45 mark, a trend we’re beginning to see in more and more tracks in one form or another. Defying a more straight-up, formulaic progression/drop approach, Risk maintains high energy levels throughout and includes enough variation in the different sections so that this [...]

Muse's "Survival" was the official song of the 2012 London Olympic Games, now it seems they've gone and created an anthem for the end-of-days with "Unsustainable". The ominous single was penned after the band caught a Skrillex show in Camden. Matt Bellamy commented to NME , ""Some of that hard dubstep and brostep coming from America, is capturing the imagination." An interesting twist to Muse's dubstep is that they used their instruments instead of computers to see if they pull off a similar sound, in a showdown of man versus technology. "Unsustainable" is [...]

A few days ago we were teased with a short YouTube clip from an enigmatic production by none other than Skrillex and Boys Noize. In the world of incredible collaborations, this pairing is on par with Deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner's "Animal Rights." Alex Ridha's techno-god status combined with Sonny Moore's impeccable sound production and genre-defining signature style have come together to create "Middle Finger" and "Next Order," two ferociously unique and deeply layered techno monsters. Both artists influences are readily apparent, with Boys Noize driving basslines and Skrillex's wobbles working together to create a harmony of aggressive techno [...]
Following speculation of pairing with Boys Noize for side project Dogblood , and working with Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso , Skrillex has revealed another major collaboration in the works. In an interview with the The Daily Beast , Skrillex has confirmed putting in studio time for Kanye West for a production that is slated to be the first single on the rapper's next album. "I did some music with Kanye and from what I know, it's actually going to be the first song on his new album." We can infer [...]

Two artists who remain in the spotlight, both representing different subgenres, may be joining forces to form electronic music's biggest side project. We are talking about dubstep poster boy Skrillex, who can't seem to stay out of the headlines, and acid house maestro Boys Noize, who has recently announced his upcoming album . The reported super-producer tag-team will be dubbed Dogblood, and will be experimenting with genres for a sound that has been referred to as '300% break-acid-tech-noise.' The first release from Dogblood will be an EP with the tracks "Middle Finger" and "Next Order," [...]

DJ Troublemaker of King Fantastic has decided to mash their track, "Hollyrock Jam Session" with the instrumental's to the Skrillex song, "Tung". Here's how that turns out. Previous: King Fantastic x Zeds Dead - G Sharp (Troublemaker Edit) Tweet

The four men behind the French turntabilist crew Birdy Nam Nam met as members of the much larger Scratch Action Hiro and are winners of the 2000 DMC World DJ Team Championship.
