I've got a bit of a thing going on at the moment for driving synth tunes. Here's a fine example from The Slow Waves. Free download. This is the second song from the 'Drag Lake' EP to appear here and is the undoubted highlight from Slowwave's debut. 'Scrapheap' is darkly turned out, like a glorious non-single from Doves' 'Lost Souls' where much of the majesty only reveals itself on the third visit. The dreamy Chicago quartet recorded a performance of its song “Slow Wave” from its latest album Houses for Giant System at Kildare Studios.
