It never fails that, once a month, I wake up and really want to lace up a pair of black/cement Jordan IIIs. Never ever fails. Just wake up, put them on and go walk around the world all pigeon-toed, diddy bop sort of how Mookie rocked them in Do The Right Thing . I'm not even a Jordan dude like that but the IIIs are above being "just Jordans." They're arguably one of the best shoes of all time. The only problem is I don't own a pair. When they retro every couple of [...]
This just made your week. Our Fam over at Lost Property just launched their new online store fulled with everything you need and can't get, well now you can. Do yourself a favour it's almost end of the month www.lpmostore.co.za

Depending upon whom collaborates with Converse, the finished product will either be gold or complete trash. Converses are simplistic shoes by their nature, whether it's the Chuck Taylor or the Pro Leather, and additions to the minimal frames just work or don't work. Recently, avant-garde fashion darling Comme des Garcons PLAY reunited with Converse to put its spin on the Pro Leather, and the Japanese company's kicks work, although fans have to be alright with rocking hearts on their feet. The shoes will feature an all-over, randomly placed signature PLAY heart pattern, which means-besides being [...]

Words By Brother O. Can it be that it was all so simple? Last summer, NSW quietly dropped a shoe that would blossom into a sleeper hit and classic silhouette: The Roshe Run . Inspired by Zen and meditation , it’s a shoe that is meant to be understated, functional, economically sound and, more than anything else, comfortable. Since then, the various iterations of the Roshe Run have been everything but simple. There have been premium versions , hiking/trail versions , [...]

Building a tradition established in 2008, Nike Basketball debuts the new 2013 edition of the Hyperdunk. As the model continues to evolve, designer Peter Fogg stuck with the "less is more" mantra while implementing three of the Swoosh's key basketball technologies: Dynamic Flywire, Hyperfuse construction and Lunarlon cushioning. The Hyperdunk 2013 will be available Saturday, July 20th, 2013 online and at select NSW retailers.

Soon cometh, Reebok Classics will be re-releasing Allen Iverson's Answer 1 sneaker, the shoe Bubba Chuck wore during his second season, and tapped Rickie Jacobs to lace an acapella backdrop for part one its #HeresYourAnswer initiative. Perhaps paying homage to the playground-style game of A.I.'s, the clip's director Samuel Rodgers travels to Harlem's historic Rucker Park to bring his black-and-white vision to life. Where there's a positive in young Rickie's endorsement opportunity and the A12s seeing the light of day in 2013, also comes the doleful truth if what was revealed in this [...]

Any Bo Jackson trainer by Nike usually gets my money by default. Nostalgia and style always take over and another pair is added to the pile. Then there's the latest release, the Air Trainer Max '91 QS "Raiders," which pays homage to the two-sport star and gives a hat tip to his former football squad as well. The thought behind them is good but the execution looks overdone like these were left in the oven too long. Trainer '91s tend to go for good money on the secondary market and we haven't seen them [...]

Leopard print always looks good, but on a Roshe Run it just looks better... Coming soon in Orange and Blue. Don't sleep on these.

I'm not 100% sure how they'll look in person, but in pictures and how the story connects, the Kobe 8 Mambacurials are simply breathtaking and badass. After we received a sneak peek a few weeks ago, Nike unveils official images of the kicks plus details behind their inspiration and creation as they relate to Kobe Bryant. "Growing up in Italy, Kobe Bryant was an avid basketball and soccer player and remains a dedicated soccer fan to this day. Now Nike pays tribute to Kobe’s love of both sports with the KOBE 8 MAMBACURIAL, [...]

Yooooo we back in this ho! In this installment of Who Got Sole we link up with our guy Street Couture 82 and talk kicks and naked chicks. As you know by now we only talk to the coolest cats and this man definitely fits the bill. He is the man responsible for the dopest events that the average garden variety muh'fukkah will never get invited to. Lets go... 1. Awe awe, introduce yo'self... The names Phiko - @streetcouture82 2. [...]

With several sneakers possibly set to release on May 25th, none gets the crowd more amped than the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Black Toe.” The new release stays true to the old school form, retaining the Nike Air on the tongue and Jordan wings on the ankle. Last seen as part of the "Old Love/New Love" pack, this "Black Toe" looks close to the 1985 version so don't expect them to sit on store shelves long after they release on Saturday, May 25th. [...]

Dam these are nice. The lastest OG Sneaker to be revived by adidas Original is the Pro Conferance hi OG Fall 2013 and it comes in three equally dope colour-ways...

Filmmaker Spike Lee sits down to talk sneakers with Russ Bengston and DJ Clark Kent for the 10th episode of Quickstrike . The man many once knew as Mars after he starred in and produced the early Nike Air Jordan TV spots explains how first he had to get Michael's approval before he could start. With MJ's thumbs up, the rest is footwear history as Spike reminds us "Those commercials really built the Nike brand." Spike also shares where the name "Mars Blackmon" originated as well as how the Spizike model came to be. [...]

Of Nike Basketball's big three sig sneakers, I'm crowning the Kobe 8 as this year's top dog. That's not to say the LBJ 10 or the KD V aren't dope, but, no matter if we're talking comfort or colorways, the Kobe model is the one to cop. Continuing their run is the "Purple Platinum" version which is exactly what its name equates - a majestic shade of purple paired with platinum accents. Simple, but powerful. Launching Saturday, May 11th at Nike retailers and at 8am EST on Nike.com.
By rescuing a shoe set to see the recycle bin, Nike's pulled a move that made sneaker fiends and collectors very happy. Right before the "Photo Blue" Air Jordan 9 from the Kilroy pack were set to drop, confusion was discovered about the final colors due to a mishap with production. Another version - one with a black sole - was originally created and were set to be destroyed. But after the public saw them, they wanted them. Enter Nike, turning lemons to sweet lemonade. "The team associated with [...]

Nike nailed it with the new "Mercurial" Kobe 8. Kobe's models have been styled after soccer cleats since the Zoom Kobe V. Now, the connection draws even closer as this version, noted as the Zoom Kobe 8 System MC, clashes with the Mercurial Vapor cleat. The large Swoosh across the toebox, the Nike along the medial side along with the bold colors (here Red Plum/Electric Green-Pink Flash) make these a must-have of future releases. [...]

These "Carp" Insta Pump Furys are strikingly awesome, which isn't a phrase I typically say in reference to Reebok. Credit where credit is due, the design and color placement give them a busy but beautiful look and the Insta Pump has always been a nostalgic favorite for years. To coincide with 'Koinobori' (Chrildren's Day) this weekend, Reebok are releasing a carp-inspired Insta Pump Fury. The Japanese national day of celebration happens on May 5 each year when families celebrate the health and happiness of their sons by flying carp-shaped streamers from their houses. [...]

Now most of you wont remember the OG Nike Presto because either you were too young or you were old enough but you didnt appreciate its genius and you just wanted to wear All Stars like your bummy friends. Ioved the Presto, it is the daddy to the Roshe Run afterall, so that is why this makes me happy...oh and throwing some Lunar tech on it is never ever a bad thing.

I would've put "Cop" in the title like we normally do but I'm still on the fence with the new Nike Air Max Motion. On one hand, they look almost awkward without the Swoosh, but that's also what makes them dope, too. They're billed as a premium product by Nike Sportswear in their "Special Projects" range and, as such, they skip the usual Hyperfuse upper of the AM13 and opt for a laser-perforated leather with a reflective underlay while retaining the 360 Max Air unit and Dynamic Flywire of this year's top model. At $200, [...]
