With their first Coachella 2012 performances a not-quite-distant memory, over the weekend some artists engaged in live collaborations to make for unique experiences in their second fest go-around. John Fogerty joined the Black Keys , Annie Clark of St. Vincent sang with Andrew Bird, and Thom Yorke came out during Modeselektor's set to perform "Shipwreck." The spine tingling magical moment of the weekend was during Radiohead at the end of "Karma Police" when the crowd continued to sing "I Lost Myself" after the band had stopped. Music lovers reconvened for round two of the 2012 Coachella Music Festival despite the 104-degree heat. Those who braved the elements for Weekend 2, were treated to a polished set by Frank Ocean , a dance party from Afrojack and a sing-along with chart-topper Gotye . While Rihanna and Usher were no-shows this time around, Sia made a guest [...]

Filed under: News Jason Persse for AOL Heading into the final day of Coachella 2012, one fact hovered over everyone: We already knew about the Tupac Hologram . What surprises could the day hold? The specter of Sunday's guest from beyond the grave seemed to haunt the other bands as well. Wild Flag 's Carrie Brownstein pointed out that the desert head made it "a good day to be a [...]

Chéquenlo acá abajo, a ver [...]

Going to Weekend 2 of Coachella ? It figures to be quite a bit different than the first weekend, but only because of the predicted high temperatures. Weekend 1 was a breeze — weather-wise, to be sure, but also because the festival was the smoothest-run of the eight that I have attended. Crowds were the opposite of unruly; sets almost always ran on time; negotiating pedestrian traffic on the polo grounds seemed the least hassle-free ever; and the lineup was top-drawer. The small-but-scrappy Buzz Bands LA staff tried to make as many sets as we [...]
I spent 3 days in the desert heat lugging around camera gear to bring you back some shots from Coachella 2012. Do you know how hard it is to party with a backpack full of expensive photography equipment? It's practically impossible. While I go see a chiropractor, you can check out the photos in our Facebook album. Read about my 3 days in desert here: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

With the first weekend of Coachella 2012 come and gone, more videos are surfacing of fantastic performances from various artists. We've already seen the likes of Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Radiohead, and more tear up the Coachella stages, and now you can watch full sets from The Black Keys, The Weeknd (his U.S. debut), Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg (featuring guest appearances from Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and a holographic recreation of Tupac), as well as New Jersey indie rock trio Real Estate. Check out all of the full performances after the jump. The [...]

Who: Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on the main stage. In 3 or Fewer Words: All-star show. Memorable Because: There were rumors that Eminem would show up and that turned out to be true. But what most people didn't know is that Dre and Snoop would be raising the dead, exactly one week after Easter. Thrilling and shocking fans, 2Pac made a special appearance. Although just a hologram (but a really solid hologram), all those people out there claiming the rapper had just been in hiding all this time [...]

Coachella raised the dead on Sunday night. On the final day of Weekend 1 of 20122s doubleheader in the desert, a mind-blowing headlining set from Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg — with a host of guests including Eminem — featured a cameo from Tupac Shakur, the seminal rapper who was killed in 1996. His appearance came via a holographic image that alternately thrilled and freaked out a massive crowd high on historic hip-hop, and its accompanying aromas. The careers of two long-silent rock bands may have been resurrected on Sunday, too — At the Drive-In's [...]
Coachella streamed live this past weekend and here you can catch entire sets sets from hip-hop legends Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, indie rockers Real Estate, and Santigold.

Obviously, the defining moment of the first weekend of Coachella 2012 was seeing Tupac Shakur raised from the dead . The incredibly life-like hologram of the dearly departed rapper (who was shot to death in 1996) appeared halfway through Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre 's all-star, jam-packed headlining set , stealing the thunder of pretty much everyone else on that stage. (That's no easy feat, mind you.) But 2Pac's jaw-dropping materialization wasn't the only memorable moment from Sunday's events - head below to find out who else turned the Polo Fields [...]

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg closed down Coachella 2012 with a sprawling set that spanned throwback G-funk, all-time gangsta classics (thanks to that 2Pac hologram ), stoner anthems (thanks to Wiz Khalifa and a blunt big enough to mellow out a rhinoceros) and new jams (like "The Recipe" with Compton's own Kendrick Lamar ). Eminem and 50 Cent showed up too, probably ranking the performance as the [...]
Wrapping up the first weekend of this year's Coachella festivities, Snoop & Dre's performance last night has already garnered buzz has as one of the most impressive of the last few days - including appearances from the impressive cast of Eminem, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and of course the hologram of Tupac . Catch up with the full set - part 1 above part 2 at the jump . [via]

Thank evolution for modern technology, as last night a well-executed hologram of the late Tupac Shakur shared the stage with Death Row mates Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre. 'Pac ran off a quick version of "Hail Mary" followed by the classic duet with Snoop "Gangster Party"...pretty cool, and damn right they made the 15-yr-old passed rapper still ripped as all hell.

Those "Tupac is alive" rumors just got a whole lot more relevant — and way more creepy. That talked-about hologram of Nate Dogg never surfaced, but late rapper Tupac Shakur , who was (allegedly?) gunned down in Las Vegas in September 1996, was projected during Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre 's set at Coachella last night in the Indio, California desert. Pac spit out his Don Killuminati hit "Hail Mary" solo before pairing up [...]
OK, this is eerie, but super cool at the same time, probably one of the most awesome things we've seen in awhile. We still miss you Tupac. West Coast forever!
During their Death Row days, Dre and Snoop created classic music for years and this isn't up for debate. Beef, bad contracts and bullsh*t sent everyone their separate ways and [...]
