Seeing Snoop Dogg at Catalpa this past weekend was a lot of fun, but the importance of it has greatly grown, now that Calvin Broadus will be known as Snoop Lion . After taking an extensive trip to Jamaica, and being engulfed in their culture, the rapper felt it was the right time to convert his whole image. Sure this might seem idiotic to a lot of people and maybe just another side effect of his persistent weed use, but judging from the trailer of his upcoming VICE documentary, Reincarnated , I am more than a little intrigued. Snoop Dogg is set to drop a reggae infused album under a new moniker Snoop Lion through Vice later this year. Titled 'Reincarnated' and sporting some guest production from Diplo and Ariel Rechtshaid, the first single "La La La" is about as D oh gg as it gets. Guess the dogfather just isn't happy mixing/digging Deep House , release smokable books and throwing credit at the recent popular sound of Trap [...]

Check out the first single from Snoop Dogg and Diplo of Major Lazer in Snoop’s reggae influenced album. Snoop Lion is the result of the Hip Hop Veteran spending a great deal of recording in Jamaica and embracing the culture of Jam Rock. Diplo produced all of the tracks on the new album including this track, “La La La.”
